Just for a counter argument, I had mine delivered within 3 days this week.

    • +8

In defense of the OP / company (I've got no other affiliation other than happily ordering multiple times from these guys) take a chill pill…. Haven't you notice what's going on in the world with supply chains and deliveries!? I got my order from last week yesterday (after a week also) when they usually (hint: pre covid days) also only took a few days. P.s the previous code "OZBARGAIN" still works on this too for an extra 10% off and free delivery too ;-)

      • -2

I very happy you received your order and I love your attitude that if you got it then screw the others that didn't. My post was noting that I haven't. In comparison I ordered some wine from a different seller after placing an order with this one and I have that already. Maybe the supply chain only works in some circumstances?

        • +7

Hi Specialised rider. Please do DM me, call me on 08 8383 2700 or email me at [email protected] and I will personally attend to your missing wine. Thanks Richard Dolan, CEO Wines by Geoff Hardy aka RD

        • +4

As someone who hasn't ordered from this company, therefore don't really care to screw others who haven't received theirs', your complaint is still ridiculous. The other seller may use a different courier, ship from a different location, went to a different distribution centre, any number of variables that go into a supply chain.
Instead of posting passive aggressive remarks on their deals you could raise it with them directly, or, you know, be patient in a time when people/systems are stretched to their limits.

    • +3

Thank for the note. All of the wines ordered last week, left on Monday and Tuesday by the latest this week and as @NotaMoodle and others outline below and on the original post, orders have begin to be delivered. I'd be pleased to look up the progress of yours @specialised rider if you could provide some identifying information by DM. Alternatively, please email [email protected] and I'll personally look into it right away. Cheers! Richard

      Mine was delivered Wednesday (syd).

      • +1

Gee whizz. That got there quick! Cheers RD :-)

    • +3

Yeah had no issues with delivery. Ordered Thursday night last week, arrived Tuesday.

    • +1

Mine was delivered early this week

    • +5

So you're saying OP should wait until everyone has their orders delivered before posting any new deals.

      Ok mate…

    • +1

I received mine fast. The delivery network is struggling so it's no fault of the sellers, but can see he has provided his details to look into it for you. Hope you get your wine soon as it is delicious. Have just put an order through for a dozen Pinot Noir after trying it in the virtual taster!

      • +1

Thanks @strid. Pinot is one of my picks :-)

  • I'm no wine expert , or an alcohol drinker at all, but can a 2019-2018 wine be worth that much? Don't they need to age?…

    • +5

The $295 is a bottle of Single Vineyard Tipsy Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2016. Drinking incredibly well now but according to James Halliday in his review:

"The Tipsy Hill Vineyard in Blewitt Springs is owned by Richard [Dolan] and Bec Hardy. It's a pocket-hankerchief size, east facing and planted in '99. This first single-vineyard release has superb colour and the cool site has resulted in a terrific cabernet strongly reminiscent of young Bordeaux. It is a wine of great purity savoury bay leaf/black olive notes partly hidden by blackcurrant fruit; fine but firm tannins the essential conclusion. Great Wine. 14.5% alc. Rating 97. Drink to 2047."

In short, drinks well now or anytime up to 2047.

      Cheers RD :-)

        Oh my

And one for the detectives. My sign off as RD is indeed my initials of Richard Dolan, so can personally vouch for the wine and the vineyard. Cheers! Richard :-)

    Delivered BY:Geoff Hardy

Is that a guarantee? OzBargainers will ask for money back if Geoff Hardy does not deliver the wines.

    • +2

HAHAHAHA. Good one. Can't guarantee the man himself will deliver it. Cheers for the laugh. RD :-)

    • +2

with social distancing rules he just drops and runs…. you will never see him or know, hahahaha ;-)

      • +2

He is indeed a man of mystery but I can vouch for him as my father-in-law! :-)

A week ago I bought a doz Bellevue Estate Shiraz and I was blown away when Corey Vandeleur, the winemaker, dropped the wine the next day!!
I assume it was on the way, but still I was also chuffed.

      • +1

How good is that! It's one of the wonderful things about the industry. Thanks for sharing the story. Richard :-)

  • +4

I jumped on their last offer, the dozen was delivered in a week (to Melbourne).
Really nice selection, all very good. Best reds I have had at the price.

    • Praise indeed. Thank you.
These wines are next level up, from our premium ranges.
      Enjoy. Cheers! RD :-)

  • +4

Just came to say that RD, you are a legend. Great service.

    • +4

Thanks @stockastics. I appreciate that. Can you also please let my wife know? ;-) Richard.

  • +3

OP, you mentioned one, but what are the recommended drinking dates for the other wines in the list?

Are they all of sufficient quality that they will improve with age? (I can see myself making a "Remember when…" box with COVID-19 news articles, my redundancy letter, and a printout of my daily Amazon orders that have led literally to "the daily Amazon box delivery" for the past 10 days, to drink in some future years.)

    • +1

Genius idea!!! I really, really like that and thanks for the idea that I'm going to steal ;-) Take care and be safe

      • +2

Oh, mate, I've been doing the box thing for YEARS. It's actually pretty satisfying. I can tell my mates, "OK, when I bought this…. OMG, what little I knew back then of the bizarre twists my life would take!", and it gives some context.

I started with a great late 1990s year of some Lindeman's red (!! Yes, because I was stunned at HOW GOOD that one particular vintage actually was for a $5 bottle of wine… it compared favourably with many American $40 bottles), the first time I moved in with a bloke in the early 2000s. In 2006 when I finished my second case of that, when I celebrated getting a new job, it was still quite drinkable despite probably not being meant to be :-). I advanced to Penfolds mid-range. Then some Washington State premium wines that somehow managed to make their way through customs when I migrated, most of which were enjoyed with friends after my citizenship ceremony. Then on to random mid-range wines in Australia whose tasting notes sound interesting and which will cellar for at least a few years.

I mostly buy inexpensive wines to have with dinner, honestly, as an everyday thing. But I've got probably 75 better bottles to pull out for festive holidays, special occasions, gifting kindly neighbours, etc.

        • +1

Terrific story and a great idea :-)

    • +2

      Great idea the box idea.

Full tasting notes and drinking windows are on the website but my personal advice is here:

K1 by Geoff Hardy Sauvignon Blanc 2019 - Drink now to 2022
Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy Gruner Veltliner 2018 - Drink now to 2028 (Had a 2012 recently at home - sublime)
K1 by Geoff Hardy Middle Hill Shiraz 2017 - Drink now to 2024
Pertaringa 'Two Gentlemen's' GSM 2019 - Drink now to 2027
Pertaringa 'Tipsy Hill' Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 - Drink now through to 2031.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Richard :-)

      • With the last G Hardy wine deal - I got the mixed dozen - it came with a print out of each wine description etc. I’ve been making notes for future reference/orders. Are you able to do that with this lot?

        • Hi @Stingey - it does indeed come with a Tasting Sheet. :-)

      • +1

Thanks for the info. Will buy.

  • +1

Mine was delivered yesterday morning in Sydney from the last offer.
    All good.

  • +1

Big fan of your wines (and the K1 grounds).

Currently drinking a mix of your reds from 2012.

Would love to see a pack of mixed reds as I really don't know what to do with the whites.

    • +2

Thanks. Plenty of red only deals at www.tractorshed.com.au. Use code OZBARGAIN for 10% off and free delivery. Cheers RD

  • +1

I ordered the Virtual tasting mixed dozen. Was delivered in a reasonable timeframe. So far so good with the quality of wines. Just ordered the premium deal. Looking forward to trying the best they you have to offer. Support local Australian products!.

    • Thanks Dann800. Appreciate the support and couldn't agree more re buying and supporting Australian right now.
You'll be pleased with the Premium Pack too I'm sure.
Have a good weekend, drink well.
      Cheers RD :-)

I ordered yesterday (from SA) and the wines were delivered first thing the following day (on a Saturday!) - well done, I'm highly impressed!

  • Hi RD,

I ordered a dozen premium range and just got a single box of 6 delivered. Is it normal to split deliveries and will the second box be delivered soon?

    Thanks,
    GdhF

    • +3

Hi GdfH. Thanks for the comment. Yes, we are experiencing a lot of split deliveries at the moment. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience. It usually happens around peak periods such as Christmas (and now seemingly global pandemics :-)). I am confident the second parcel will show over the new few days but if it doesn't please DM me, email me at [email protected] or call me on 08 8383 2700 with your details, and I'll look into it for you. Most importantly, thank you for your support of a small, South Australian family business. Cheers! RD :-)

      • +1

Thanks mate will be in touch if it's not delivered in a few days. Looking forward to sampling your delicious Shiraz!

  • +1

Received my 2 dozen last week and already 3 bottles down :-) Ok, RD, that Premium 6 pack looks like a mighty bargain. Very tempted to buy a dozen. Let me quickly ask the boss.

    • haha. Nice work. Glad you're enjoying the wines.
You know I thought people would have jumped on to this one. It truly is a wonderdeal this pack and we will never repeat this kind of pack in a post-COVID lockdown world. Everyone jumped on the Virtual Pack like it was gold dust, yet this is truly the deal to be on IMHO.
All the best to you and the Boss. Cheers! RD :-)
