  • Want one badly but jeez 676 , is that not a bit too much ?

I think that's one of the lowest prices for the S6, right?

    • look at the other roborock models. Unless there is a specific reason you want the s6 the older versions are still meant to be very good.

(Disclaimeer: Don't have one but also been wanting/considering getting one)

That's a good price. The S6 Pure hasn't launched in Australia yet, so this one must be an import. Not sure how the warranty etc would work for these?

    • 12 months warranty.

      • Do you have to ship it overseas or anything?

We base at melbourne and repair at Melbourne.

Does anyone knows if the front wheel is hard plastic? I had to remove the front wheel from my IRobot because it was scartching my hardwood floor. Does anyone use it on hardwood floor and can share his experience?

  • I would hold out until "Vaccum Wars" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvavJlMjlTd4wLwi9yKCtew reviews it. When the S6 came out it was really a waste of money compared to the S5.

  • Does it have a better multi floor functionality than S6?

  • Is this just the S5 max that’s about to be released in Australia next month? What’s the difference between the s5 max, s6 and ,s6 pure?

  • Would this be better than the s50? (Assuming I can't get deals on the s50 right now and I wanted to make a purchase)

    • By the looks of things, marginally. Apparently cleans like 20% faster and misses less stuff due to more efficient algorithms. Also mopping is meant to be slightly better. I've got the s50 and it's added a lot of the features like automatic room detection. Unfortunately mine suffers from a common problem where the laser distance sensor malfunctions so I have to keep "fixing" it. Basically you take the sensor out, hook it up to a 9V battery or power bank for a minute or two and it jump starts it back.

Over time I've had a lot of problems with the mapping software. Like sometimes it'll think the dock is in a completely different room. Sometimes it'll think it's cleaning a different room than it's actually in. Other times it will clean the house, and then superimpose another map of the house on top and basically try and clean the house again. Thankfully it saves the map after every clean now so you can go back to the last usable map.

When it works it works, when it doesn't it's a pain in the ass!
