Is that the standard RRP? or has 1L mouthwash gone up over time, I havent bought that size for a few years.

    • +1

      This is apparently half price.

ok thanks, been ages since i had bought some 1L mouth wash as i had bulk bought some a while back then somewhat stopped using it after some people talked about getting cancer from the alcohol content in them. I was contemplating going back to some mouth wash.

Unfortunately it’s not the right product, we need a disinfectant. Courtesy: White House Heath expert spokesman

    • plus a bonus syringe

    • Don’t forget to go outside too.

I though the ozbargain choice of mouthwash was the Aldi brand? which is $4.19 for 1ltr

  • +1

These are regularly $2 at the reject shop

    • +4

Can confirm I got 4 bottles last time, each 1Ltr and all $2 each! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/495300

cant believe the people who upvote this call themselves ozbargainers.

    • are reject shop stuff dodgy?
I saw some chocs about 2 days to expiry date before, since then I don't look at things like that.

      • Not dodgy, some stuff can be close to BB, or even past, but it’s always labelled as such.

  • OOS from Amazon, bought from Chemist Warehouse instead.

Apparently you get free alcohol with it…

    • I guess so, says on the cap "Alcohol Free"

  • Surely people aren't wasting precious, precious germ killing alcohol on making their breathe smell better?

    • Reducing the need to go to the dentist (who is closed)?

    yay, it has fluoride!

I'm looking forward to the deal on basic white vinegar which I presume will be the next hot ticket item to get 50 upvotes.

  • Can someone suggest to me a Mouthwash that does not burn like a mofo?

    • the 1ltr one at aldi does me fine, its only $4.19 dilute with a bit of water if you wanted to

    • +1

Most alcohol free ones will do the trick

    • This one doesn't burn much, but it tastes like aniseed which is really off putting. Otherwise the Listerine Zero are good.

      • Interesting. I like this one (Oral-B Clinical) and think it tastes like cinnamon, not aniseed.

        • Maybe there's a bit of 5 spice in there.

Beware that these mouthwash contains cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), which causes staining of some people's teeth (depending on the type of bacteria in your mouth).

For those people that this mouthwash causes stains, pretty much only a dentist/ oral hygienist clean can remove those stains

    • +1

A good way to avoid stains is by mouthwashing first and then brushing. Apparently it only causes stains in 3% of people so the risk is low anyway. I used this mouthwash exlusively for two years and never had any stains. This is what you should be doing at least according to a couple of dentists I've seen (mouthwash first, then brush, as mouthwash will wash the fluoride off your teeth - even though this mouthwash has some fluoride added, it's still nowhere near as much and as effective as the fluoride in toothpaste).

      • with a coating of crap on teeth b4 brushing, how would the mouthwash have any effect?

  • Does anyone else get mouth ulcers everytime after using this stuff? My thought was that it kills off all the bacteria, leaving none, then the bad ones have free range.

It's happened four times and only after I use mouthwash… :(
