Did "comedian in chief" not highlight the tongue in cheek nature of the post?

Our product has been is sold in IGA stores as well as independent pharmacies. We are able to now offer a bargain on the product, hence why we have posted it on ozbargain. When comparing to other hand sanitisers, our product is Australian made and uses high quality ingredients.

      • Our product has been is sold in IGA stores

Has been or has is, John?

      • Maybe they are returning the excess inventory..

  • +3

    Nothing gets past the OZbs.

  • +3

Didn't you confirm that this isn't Australian made in a separate thread?

    • +5

Our product is formulated and manufactured in Australian, in an Australian GMP facility, sourcing alcohol made in Australia.

At least it is locally made and the price is reasonable this time, cheaper than this Dettol deal, Dettol Big W, Dettol Kmart, seems like Dettol are mostly if not all, made in Thailand. As long as the product is not over priced, I am all for supporting local people working and spending.

    • -3

      Dettol has tests and guarantees

I know what I'd be choosing for the exact same price

If this is an existing product and made in aus like they say it is, then it has more than guidelines to meet. Imported products can often slip between cracks in the requirements of local businesses. Not hand sanitiser, but there are chemicals used to make clothing or bedding etc that is banned here, and banned in China when for Chinese use, but its not banned in China for products to be exported. And we accept them despite local manufacturers being banned from using it.

        • All correct. For instance, hand sanitiser made in Australia in a GMP facility, has to be made with purified water. This is different from sterilised water for those making it at home. Imported products may not contain purified water, which means that, even with alcohol content, the product may still contain bacteria in it. Also in Australian we need to specify each ingredient used.

How did you manage to go from $28 to free shipping?

    • We did so by bundling the product together. We still need to use a courier and in some parts the delivery is $28, however in NSW and ACT it is cheaper. So by bundling 10 products together we were able to offer free shipping

      • You dont NEED to use a courier. I got mine delivered by AP, and it was nowhere near $20 from Vic to Qld.

        • If it is less than 70% alcohol or less than 250ml, AP delivers as an eparcel. But if it is more than that, then they dont unfortunately.
In any case, we are offering free shipping.

          • @Johnp101: Not really free if I have to order so much sanitiser I could go into business selling it.

When its hand sanitiser AusPost will take upto 500ml as an eparcel now with covid. It was 300ml pre covid. You never had to charge $28 for a bottle, or even 2.

"To help the community stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Australia Post has temporarily increased the limit for hand sanitiser products carried via the eParcel road network (not via Sea or Air) from 300ml to 500ml per consignment (note: not per article)." https://auspost.com.au/sending/check-sending-guidelines/dang…

You would probably do better selling two for $10, plus actual AusPost postage costs. Im not even halfway through roughly 300ml I made myself with pure ispropyl and aloe a month ago. Liquid probably spreads a little further than gel though… The pro bottle I bought for my inlaws.

    I smell greed…

Dettols RRP is much lower. Can't comment on opportunist and anti - humananity who are selling them for premium now. And thanks that we all agree that this isn't Australian made, so a fake advert here

        manufactured in Australian

We say manufactured in Australian here

  • +5

BAHAHAHAHAH .. every 5th post here in Ozbargain is people trying to profit selling hand sanitizer … sick of it..

  • +1

Chemist warehouse, Westfield and woolies all provide complementary hand sanitiser upon entry. There is really no need to buy. Even if you don't shop in those places, just find a toilet to wash your hands.

    • +1

The need for sanitiser will increase when the lockdown is relaxed and everyone is allowed to go out again, and not just to Woolies etc. There are many situations when you can't get to running water to wash your hands. For example, I plan to leave some in the car (whilst the weather is not too hot - I gather the stuff is flammable??)

These hygiene measures will be with us for a long time, and may well become the norm, so I am stocking up. This price is actually very reasonable compared to previous posts ($4.90 for 250mls)

      • Im in Qld and Ive been keeping a 50ml bottle of isopropyl alc in my car, and its not evaporating.

  • +1

AussieOne is Australian owned with all products manufactured in Australia

So, where do the bottles and pumps come from?

  • +5

OP. It's not personal mate. All about timing. Hand sanitiser has become the fidget spinner of 2020.

    • We understand. But there are a lot of hand sanitisers on the market right now but they are not all the same.
Purchasing an Australian made product in an Australian GMP facility, is a lot different from products made overseas - not just because it is an Australian brand, but being Australian made means we need to adhere to specific standards.
There is a lot out there, but it is important when it comes to hand sanitiser to buy Australian Made.

  • +1

Hey OP. Do you have stock for immediate delivery or do we have to wait like a month or more?

    • +1

Yes we do have stock for immediate delivery. Handling takes 1 day and delivery is 1-5 days depending on where in Australia we are delivering to.

      • Thanks. Ordered. I usually get a 1lt bottle from chemist warehouse for about $15. So for about $20 per litre, price reasonable and it's an australian product. see when it comes.

  • +7

Am enjoying the desperation slipping in as the profitteers try to to unload before the price completely crashes.

  • 70% alcohol, can I drink it?

    • +2

      Yes according to Trump!

      • Orange man bad?

  • No paypal credi card only

More "Australian made" sanitisters flooding OzBargain by day the greed of some scum is truly disappointing as they struggle to cash In on the already burst bubble.

    • Am waiting for the bubble burst in property market. Those so called ‘investors’ is greedier to buy properties here and not even live in Australia.

      • That's called capitalism

    • The “sanitisers flood” is what drive the price down and satisfy the current demand at affordable prices (there’s a thing called “competition” too). I’d rather “Aussie made flood” which keep locals working than having to import to meet our demand. I do feel sorry for the people who bought presale when demand was higher than supply (at high prices) in previous deals and won’t receive until June/July though.

  • +8

$20/litre in small bottles, delivered. I'm not getting the hate, there is nothing wrong with this price. $4.90 for 250ml of aloe vera gelhand sanitiser would have been a solid pre-covid price, $120 is a rip, but $49 is good.

  • I walked into Woolworths today and they have two bins full of hand sanitizers next to check out. Don’t think people would be desperate to find them anymore

    • But $40 a litre yuck

  • +5

The price is pretty reasonable, they're not price gouging or anything. It's a bit harsh to call OP "greedy scum". Tough crowd…

  • Has anybody who ordered on the 25th actually had their order shipped? Mine is still in the Awaiting Shipment stage.

    • Immediately after posting this I received an e-mail with tracking details
