    $48/L, when this is $15/L…

This is not Australian made. Our product keeps people employed in Australia, and ensures that it follows the Australian regulations for manufacturing in a GMP facility.

Lol keeps like 2-3 people employed, pouring the mixture in their backyard.

You don't have an established business, you've set it up off the back of this pandemic. That's all it is.

      • Plus the one spackbace link does say Australian Made on the label in the picture if you bothered looking….. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1438/1166/products/Klinrub…

    How is this a deal?

Doesn't even look like shipping is free.

  • +2

My god shipping calculated at $28 to Metro lol

  • +6

LOL $28.75 for shipping to the suburbs in VIC for one item!!!!!!

    • -5

It is because at 70% alcohol it is deemed as a dangerous good 3.
Meaning there are regulations and costs imposed by shipping companies.
For large purchases over $60 the shipping is free.

Others manage to post 70% and 80% ethanol for much less. In the region of $5 to $12. I can get 5 litres of pure isopropyl alcohol delivered for less than your quote.

The alcohol itself is dearer than it used to be though…

Site created few days ago and only selling hand sanitiser. Try to cash in on the pandemic? You should sell toilet paper and pasta as well to make the most of it.

We actually have manufactured the product for the past 6 years. We see our product being sold for over $20 a bottle so felt it only fare to sell the product direct at a fair price.

      • What was your pre-Covid19 price which assumedly would be your fair price? (If we're all being fair about it)

        • -3

The price was below $12, but unfortunately the only factory in Australia which manufactures alcohol had tripled their price. Which is why we need to charge a little more. Our product is a very fair price for an Australian made product.

Trying to cash in on the pandemic. Not a deal

  • Whole deal reeks imho of opportunistic, over-priced gouging … hopefully a moderator may pull this one 🤔

  • This isn't a bargain in any sense.

  • No morals.

  • Bye bye attempted sales pitch….

Our formulation is based on the World Heath Organisation Guidelines for Safe and Effective Hand Sanitiser.

WHO recommends against adding perfumes so how can you advertise this as being based on WHO guidelines when you've added Lemon Peel Oil?

    Just an FYI
Ethanol wholesale prices have gone from well under $1/ litre to well over 5…however doesn't fully explain the retail price increases around here that are posted as "bargains"

Love the "our" in the description.

Hand sanitiser demand seems to have dropped off around here. Chemists had a whole shelf of it

I got some much cheaper than this deal at Woolies a couple of days ago. I missed the really cheap stuff ($1.7/l00ml) and this was $8 for 200ml. Not a bargain but it will last me 3-4 weeks.

zoono is a New Zealand made innovative product. Effective without alcohol. Expensive because it is unique and protects for hours (rather than just a once off clean.) It’s something I’d pay for. Not just another cash grab using alcohol based formulas.

    • +2

Yea uh… I'd actually take even overpriced alcohol over that. All I see are marketing claims, with no peer-reviewed study of its effectiveness (either in general or specifically against CoVs).

e: they do provide some test results, but you need to sign a NDA to actually get access to them. Blech.

Priceline and Chemist Warehouse sells normal santizers for $13.99 per Litre pump
