Despite most items from Amazon US skyrocketing upwards in price recently, this ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus ATX Motherboard is still a good deal relative to all local stores (in-stock sellers typically want $399 to $429 here + delivery for the Wi-Fi variant). Note this does not have inbuilt 802.11ac unlike the Wi-Fi version but is identical in all other aspects

The motherboard has been reviewed positively, has a good VRM for this price tier of X570 board and can handle CPUs like the 3900X without problems. The upcoming MSi X570 Tomahawk Max looks even better but is likely to come at a higher price point (especially with the lower AUD to USD exchange rate these days).

  • This vs MSI AM4 ATX MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI DDR4 Motherboard, any difference in quality?

    • Big difference in the quality of the VRM. If you're running a 3800X or lower, then there won't be any noticeable difference but if you're trying to overclock a 3900X or 3950X then the Gaming Edge is going to overheat badly and probably throttle, if not outright fail.

      • Do not get MSI 570 series, they are duds, just check out afew reviews. Try the giga aorus as a alternative to the asus tuff.

        • This. MSI have been dropping some terrible products and Gigabyte is knocking it out of the park.

          • @Diji1: The upcoming X570 Tomahawk looks to be the only reasonably priced (Unify is still too expensive) MSI board that's going to be worth the money in its price range (should be about $200US). Obviously it's taken a year and widespread criticism of their X570 range to bring out a worthwhile board which is a problem in itself.

    • see my comment below. MSI GAMING EDGE only good till 100A. Ok for most, I guess. TUF Gaming goes till 200A.

  • B550 boards are also coming out in June

  • The "ASUS Prime X570-P Ryzen 3" is also $278 and is available April 30th.

  • nice mobo. looking at building a gaming pc for my son using AMD Ryzen 5 3600 was hoping to get this mobo but out of stock and $50 more locally.
Never bough PC parts from amazon especially from AmazonUS - any dramas with using AmazonUS? was looking at getting the mobo, cpu, ram and GPU from Amazon

    • If r5 3600 std, you might be better off saving money going for a b450. Unless you plan on OC like crazy but even then.

      • This.

Paying for 550 is paying for PCI gen 4 which won't lead to any performance increase.

The saving can go towards parts that make a difference (which is GPU usually).

As far as Amazon they're very good for buying computer parts.

        • cool. thanks for the comments :)

  • If I cancel some of my current Amazon orders which haven't been sent yet, will I potentially have to pay for the shipping which I got for free because I ordered over a certain amount?

    • If it hasn't shipped then you can cancel.

Payment is made when shipping occurs.

You can also contact Live chat and sometimes they can reverse stuff after shipping.

  • AUD OR USD?

    • Its amazon au so that is AUD pricing

  • My comment from another post. VRM is the key for board to support higher 'omph' CPU. Budget and some mid range are crap.
