    does anyone price match Amazon?

    • +5

Officeworks does, works out to be $201.78

Nice find OP, cheapest so far for local stock I think

      • +1

Thanks man, they did exactly that, been on the lookout for these.

        Thanks OP :)

    • JB Hi-Fi has matched them for me multiple times

  • +1
  • They look so big

    • They're actually quite compact and sit in the ear neatly. The little flange or wings rest in the ear cup. These over any apple airpod variant.

    • the Samsung 'beans' that's about to come out is much smaller.

  • Just go on FB or Gumtree and offer $150 to the countless people selling them….

I sold my extra set for $180.

    • +1

I sold mine for $130 (somewhat discounted for a friend), definitely hit up Gumtree, it should be no more than $150.

I know plenty of people who offloaded the free pair that came with their 20's.

      • Comes with free ear wax?

    https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/samsung/galaxy-bud…

These rate really well, highly accurate sound profile, light, comfortable and long battery life.

    • Really rate these: long battery life on a single charge + really accurate microphone = makes it perfect for work

  • Call quality issues… heard from friends and i have the same issue as well… okayish battery

    • +1

Isn't that the previous gen with both of these issues (battery and call quality issues )

      • +2

sorry I didnt realise there are two generations.. dumb me

    • Quality for me has been good so far, had them for 2 weeks now. What issues are you having ?

      • I had mine since Oct 2019 … got them as redemption for purchasing S10+… Dont know if they were Gen1 or Gen2… the other party has trouble hearing me on calls… battery life is okayish.. not bad and not too good as well..

        • +6

The 2nd gen were released in 2020, so yours are the older version. They've improved call quality significantly in the newer buds+

  • I had these Samsung Buds Plus, but didn't find any improvement on the call quality, despite Samsung's claims. Returned those, and bought Jabra Elite75, and found those fantastic both for music and calls. I have Airpods 2nd Gen too, but prefer to use Jabra because their perfect fit and better sound quality. Only thing Jabra Elite75 lacks for some (though not much on an issue for most) is lack of wireless charging. But for me its not an issue for me at least.

Or if any of you have the 50,000 bonus Telstra plus rewards points for Direct Debit signup from some time back, you can get them for $49 through Telstra rewards at the moment. Ordered them yesterday as it was less than a replacement(lost) case for the originals. And yes, could have gotten the originals for nothing with those points, but hey for $49, might as well try out the longer battery life new ones.

    • Did you get an order confirmation from telstra plus? I purchased Plantronics earbuds and it has been 1.5 months… nothing yet.. support said they have no clue and asked me to wait

      • I received an email that they've been shipped two days after ordering.

      • Yep, received an order confirmation a minute later, but no shipping notification yet.

      • Anything I've ordered from Telstra Plus I've never had to wait more than a day for order confirmation (normally pretty instant) and shipping delivery notice only once more than a week.
This has been from a lot orders, including the Harmon onyx and Samsung buds+ then at least half a dozen google home mini double packs.

I wouldn't let up on customer support until they found out where your order is and what happened to the points.
If the points were subtracted but not linked to a purchase order it's a pretty clear case of refunding/reverse the points.

Bought mine for AUD189 through samsung.com.au
Currently have it on sale cor AUD 239 but you can get an additional AUD 50 off if you sign up to their email listing

Only the black and red colour on sale.

    • I just bought mine this way the other day.

    • +1

I only see it for $299?

      • Colour has to be black or red. You will see 299 price for the white and blue.

        • Nice, found it. Then how do you do the email sign up discount?

          • @TwentyTwoCarats: Should be a little blue tab at the bottom of the page (if you are on a desktop/laptop)

          • @TwentyTwoCarats: There should be a pop up option at the bottom of your screen (if you're using via mobile). It pops up automatically so you can see it straight away. It should say "sign up to get $50 off"

            • @Luffy123: Gotcha. Now I gotta decide whether to pull the trigger. I have the Gen 1 Buds (since release date, so it's been a year). They are fantastic - I love the sound, it never falls out when I play sport or gym, and they're super easy. However I recently moved to iPhone and the iOS app only supports Buds+, so annoying.

    • +1

Thought i was onto a winner on the gov portal site, $209 - $50 for sign up, alas the minimum spend on there is $250 not $200.

    • I have been trying to sign up with my email or work email (never registered before) but its has been days and still no email about the code. Have I done anything incorrectly?

    • Absolute champion, I bought the red ones through kogan, but they canceled all orders for unseen circumstances, so I got a refund and got this direct from Samsung for cheaper.

    • Thanks for the heads up - just got my $50 credit.

White, red and blue are all available now for $239 (before $50 credit), but not black.

Bummer as I'm only interested in black. :(

  • Google Pixel Buds 2 have arrived with features that surpass the AirPods (I guess Samsung does that as well with much better Assistant:)

    • Do you have the release date for Australia and the RRP for the Pixel Buds 2?

  • Kogan Marketplace (Seller from HK) has them for $204.99 with free shipping.

I got a free pair of these with my Samsung S10+. I tried them for 20 minutes, different styles of music and such and then gave them to a mate. If you're an audiofile these are a no go. They are very average sounding and better of buying a decent set of in ears with a mic.

    • +1

Buds or Buds+? Rtings testing suggests they are better than average for sound quality.

    • I'm no audiofile, but do you need to "burn them in"?

      • -1

        nope, that's audiophile snake oil

    • +2

Different model mate, buds+ have one of the most accurate sound profiles in any wireless earbud.

Saying that buds were no slouch, also pretty accurate, a lot of people prefer bass heavy though and think more bass equals better sound.
