20% off Sitewide (Fans, Heaters, Air Circulators) @ Vornado Australia

50
LOVEMUM20

To celebrate the upcoming Mother's Day, Vornado Australia is currently running a 20% OFF ENTIRE STORE by using a promo code "LOVEMUM20" at the checkout.

The code also works on items that are already on sale. Offer ends 10 May 2020. Free shipping for orders over $200.

If you are not familiar with Vornado, their sell energy smart air circulators and heaters, which have received a lot of positive consumer reviews on some independent websites.

With winter coming up shortly in Australia, I ended up buying their newly released fan heater VMH350 which comes with a 12HR timer and a remote control. There aren't many retailers with VMH350 available in stock and mostly are online sold at RRP$349. I very much look forward to sharing the product review once it arrives.

Way to be a couch potato with a bag of chips, beer and Netflix during self isolation.

This is part of Mother's Day deals for 2020.

Did you consider mentioning what kind of products they sell?

    • +3

They're an ozbargain favourite. That's almost like saying you need to mention what kind of product an eneloop is.

  • Nice but TGG is cheaper.

    • Good to use the $20 credit.

  • I had a good after sales support experience with Vornado. Something died in the electric motor for my 660, I completely disassembled the motor but couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong - possibly something internal in one of the coils.

I raised a warranty request with Vornado. They required me to set a photo of the fan with the power cord cut, after which they immediately dispatched a replacement that I had within a few days. All in all a straightforward, reasonable and quick process.

    • I second that. Also, their 5 year manufacturer's warranty is superb!!

  • I was gonna buy Dyson hot and cool, I wonder how this Vornado 350 fare against Dyson. One pro of Dyson is it swivels

    • Question not answered yet, purchased one anyway. Ozbargain yeah!

I was considering either Dyson AM09 or Vornado VMH350, then I decided to get VMH350 instead.

As a proxy, the little brother Vornado VMH300 has a lot of 5 star consumer reviews, many mentioned it being quiet, efficient, cool touch cabinet and quickly heats up room. I'd assume VMH350 would do a very similar job and at a fraction of a cost ($279 promo code applied @Vornado website) vs Dyson AM09 ($499 currently on sale @JB HiFi).

It'd be interesting to share my user review later on once it arrives.

      • From my understanding the 300 is heater only but 350 can work as either heater or fan, essentially like the Dyson. Maybe good thing with Dyson you won't need to clean unit whereas this one seems to have more openings to clean

      • To OP(loulou168) , how have you found your VMH350 so far ? I ordered one with this code as well.

      • @loulou168 - argh I'm trying to get your attention but don't know if I'm doing this right. How do I @ you so you get notified?

    $349? For a 1500W heater?

You can get a 2kw job for $15 from kmart that will heat the room better and will be no less inefficient.

Or better yet, rather than spending 60c or so an hour on these things, just get a reverse cycle air con unit that will produce 4-4.5x as much heat per dollar spent.

Don't know what the fans are like but these heaters are just voodoo for suckers.

I was looking at the heaters the other day but the reviews are really bad. Ended up going for a Noirat which look very plain but get amazing reviews. We have one of the Vornado fans and it serves a purpose in the right conditions but I still use the cheap $15 target one more often.

  • Hey OP, how'd you find yours? Just got my one from DJ's delivered - also was tossing up between this and the AM09, but went with Vornado instead. I think I was expecting a stronger, higher heat coming out of it? I already had it set on 32 and high… but I think it's meant to be more of a gentle heat over a period of time? What's yours like? Also happy to direct message you, but you have to turn that on in your settings first!
