    that's competitive with Chinese equivalents.

Didn't know that was a mark of quality

think they mean competitive in price not quality :)

      • Clearly a bit slow this evening

China is the equal of any country in manufacturing if not outright the best. I'd be more inclined to think the China made product is higher quality.

        BMW or Great Wall?

        • It depends. At the same price point - probably Great Wall is much better.

I guess one can get a top-range Great Wall for the price of BMW series 1 or 3. And BMW series 1 or 3 are rubbish.

I've had a bahco bow saw that was dirt cheap from Bunnings and after probably 10 years it's still going strong .

I have Bahco sidecutters that I bought in the mid 80s when I was a mechanic. I've totally hammered them and they still get used daily. The handle covers only started to crack in 2018. I wish I could buy replacement covers.

I also have a couple of Bahco shifting spanners and the quality is fantastic.

  • thanks Goodguys.

ordered one - funds by selling their voucher here

  • How much is this normally?

Normal price and good value, not a bargain though
    Should post on OzNormalPrice…no deal

    • A quick search of “ NP-22-U7/8-HP” on google revealed its cheep especially if it’s every day price.

Nice to know that some Bahco tools are still made in Sweden. I wish they would make the Sockets Set in Sweden instead of Taiwan. Even though the ones made in Taiwan are still of good quality.

I've got an Bahco adjustable spanner and the quality is fantastic. It was probably thirty years old when I first acquired it and that was over twenty years ago. My dad is probably still wondering where he put it.

      • The new Bahco adjustable spanners are made in Spain, not a bad thing. I read somewhere that Bahco was the first company to make the adjustable spanner, so no surprise that the quality is top notch.

This is very cheap, good post OP!

    When Trojan's 550mm saw is $14.65, a Bahco equivelent at $13 is a steal.
