If it's not a deal why post?

Beware website is not secure. Went to checkout and it had prefilled information of someone else who filled in their details including name, address, phone number and email. You're data is not worth the cost of a toilet roll. Mr Sahib whose details popped up, sorry but you're data is not safe

    • +3

Ouch! Hope that's not the case.

Edit: checkout is definitely SSL secured, and their preferred checkout option is with Google Pay, at least on my device. So, not sure where you checked out.

      • yes, the checkout is 100% SSL secured, the only error I am seeing is with the browser saying some of the images are not secured and could be modified in transit but it's very unlikely, I checked the source code and everything is showing HTTPS there's no HTTP links at all, I'll have to look into the JS and see what's going on but I can ensure that everyone's details are safe

    • Hi, that means your browser is not automatically sending you to the HTTPS site, you can manually put the S on the end of HTTP on your browser, I have no idea why your browser is downgrading it however

      • +5

OP pm me and I'll send you the screenshots I took for verification. You're site is broken.

        • Right, I'm looking into it now and it's saying some of the images are not loading in SSL, I'm looking into it now thank you.

Same thing happened to me so I didn't end up checking out

    • +7

At check out page, the billing and shipping already pre-filled with Joshua Taylor’s details. Name, address, phone, email..all there. At the end, decided not to claim.

    • +4

Had the same issue as hazmat athena.

    • yep mine had scott morrison ….

your data is not safe with facebook and they don’t even give a free roll of toilet paper ….

  • +4

    No stock.

    • over 150 gone in 12 mins, very fast

      • +10

        Just a suggestion:

we be giving away 1 entirely free toilet paper roll per household to the Ozbargain community

        and

"We're giving away 150 free rolls of toilet paper"

        Are not the same thing.

  • +3

Did anyone actually manage to get this? Op says this is OzBargain exclusive. Really?

    • +1

yes we posted it on ozbargain only, we had over 150 in stock and now it's all gone that was quick!

      • +1

There's bots that operate in here.

  • +3

I just checked it's still in stock, anyone who sees it saying out of stock on the website should refresh/try it on a different browser :)

  • +4

I found the problem, a lot of people were putting the stock as 3/4/5/6/7pcs each expecting somehow to get that many, that effected the stock level, it has since been fixed. They are now 32 left.

  • +5

    Wow these comments…

  • well i just got one roll thanks OP

    • the stock lv must top up a few at a time to more people have a chance?

  • Damn I just missed out.

    • keep checking i only just got one 3 min ago

  • +4

ok, I can confirm ALL ARE GONE NOW

  • Damn too late. Did anyone manage to get 1?

    • +1

      over 250 people did

  • +5

Harsh comment for anyone who commented that this is scam, OP tried to do the right thing yet there are people still give negative comment and complained.

maybe next time Instead of cheaper delivered, ask them to get it "free pickup only"..lol

    • -1

haha thanks mate, no matter where you go there will always be choosy beggars out there.

  • +8

Your website is still publishing random users details.

Joshua from beaconsfield its publishing your email, address and email address.

Clearly an issue with the site, would NEVER put real details in there people.

    • hi there, what do you mean?

      • +3

Your checkout form is broken. I go there and can see someone else's details. Its a server side caching issue. Your form autopopulates with a previous customers details. It means I can see his full name, address, email, mobile.

        • Okay, please PM me if you can a screenshot, I'm going to empty all our caches to be safe

          • +2

@zackpal: I hope you contacted all the people affected by setting up clouflare incorrectly and leaking their details.

      • +3

Why can I see some random person from Beaconsfield's details in the checkout form then?

        • -4

autofill? I'm not sure please send me a screenshot and I can check their details and see if they ever visited our website

        • -2

It's been fixed on our end with cloudflare, if you see it again please pm me

      • +3

        Maybe check that again?

    • +2

Yes I am also getting this person's details, including phone number and address.
Edit: I was responding to a comment further up re Joshua from Beaconsfield.

      • -1

It's been fixed on our end with cloudflare, if you see it again please pm me

  • +4

Odd deal. Op thanking us when the initial deal got almost more dislikes than likes. Then posting one toilet paper roll which would still cost about $5 to post with auspost to even send a single roll. Very stinky deal to gain public relations in my opinion.

  • +4

I also had a random persons details pre-populated in the checkout form. And people are more worried about handing over their details on the COVIDSafe app!

  • +6

I can see Phil from miranda NSW and all his details in the form prepopulated

  • +7

Talk about a breach of peoples privacy

      • +3

Throwing the blame… I'm confident when I type you guys don't know what you're doing when it comes to IT.

        • Good luck with your future endeavours!

  • +1

What happens when people that know a little about IT try and sell items that people are panic buying? Oh sit!

  • +1

Hi I dont understand how the washing powder subscription works

    $0.35 / month for 100gm - so you send out 100 gm?

Usually washing powder comes in 1kg boxes

    • -2

that has to be purchased with a toilet paper subscription

  • +4

    very poor website

    • +4

      Hopefully it can get Centrelink

    • -1

Hi mate, those caching issues have been resolved, if you see any other issues please PM me and we will resolve it, thank you for your feedback!

  • +9

Seems like the website is zone matching based on location. Pre-populating the cart (abandoned cart?) and the person's sensitive details that they filled in (billing, etc).
    Privacy breach/es indeed.

Edit: looked at history. You didn't answer my question on previous post. Why are sparkies selling toilet paper?

    • -2

Hi mate, those caching issues have been resolved, if you see any other issues please PM me and we will resolve it, thank you for your feedback!

Dont get in line, get online! Take my upvote

  • +2

Do we get a tracking number at all ? When the tissue will be sent ?

    • Starting monday we will be posting them out. It will be sent as untracked surface mail

      • Cheers, will you send notification to us?

        • yup

          • +1

@zackpal: I still haven't received anything at all, OP. Please advise if you are going to send it or not or is it just only a scam ?

            • +1

@yht: I also haven't received anything and neither my neighbour and we live in the same state as this business if it was in deed sent earlier in the week we definitely would have received it by now … really crap way to try to market to potential new customers. I would never order from them if it takes more than 2 weeks to receive a shipment.

I'll remember for next time a deal is posted on here and link to this deal.

This entire deal is evidently masked as an ad for their subscription service and harvest personal details with no intention of shipping anything (at least not in a timely manner).

Everyone stick to Amazon subscribe and save. 45 rolls of Kleenex compete clean delivered for $17.55

I ordered from Amazon yesterday morning and just got notified it is onboard for delivery today. They are the real cheaper delivered

  • +3

21 days later still nothing in post for my neighbour nor me and in the same state. This store should be banned from OzBargain

Alerts setup for anything posted for CheaperDelivered.com which will be linked back to this deal

    • Yep
No idea what their thinking behind it was.
Some kind of good will gesture that then never happens, or ships so much later that no one remembers why or who and it's wasted

At least come and give updates or admit it's not shipping etc :/
(Not that anyone cares about toilet paper anymore)

      • Data harvesting

  • Finally I received the delivery update and the toilet paper is on the way. Yeay!

    • -1

      :)

      • 3 weeks later and the tissue roll is still to be seen.

  • If anyone didn't get an email from us with an update then your email address may have been entered incorrectly, if your email address was invalid then nothing will be sent out to you, to everyone who got an email from us your package will be arriving soon by Australia post untracked, people who order from us have full tracking and immediate shipping, thank you.

    • +1

What's with under charging postage using Australia Post and everyone getting a slip to pay the difference in shipping cost and no return to sender address? Your ploy to not include return address hoping Australia Post wouldn't bother noticing and pass on the difference in postage paid?

Don't ever post anything on this website ever again.

  • +2

This turn out to be a fake deal. Collecting users’ shipping info only.

  • 6 weeks from deal post and still nothing

Congrats on that excellent good will deal OP…

  • +5

    Well that was pointless.

It cost $9.80 to pick it up from the Post Office due to insufficient postage.

I think it's cheaper to buy the single 400 sheet rolls from the supermarket which is across the road from the Post Office.

    CheaperDelivered have not delivered.

    Thank you.

    • Same happened to me. This is really disgusting. The OP should be complained and banned.

  • Received roll today, so a + from me. Surprised that AustPost delivered the roll via ParcelPost with only a 65 cents postage stamp.

    • Congratulations.

That explains the $9.80 excess postage charge.

$8.95 for parcel post plus $1.50 admin fee minus the 65 cent stamp.

    • Received today +

    • When did you recwive the shipment advise?

      • 24 May

        • You are in Sydney, mine probably is still on the way.. Finger cross Or I could be so naive.
