Pay No Insertion Fees and $1 in Final Value Fees on 10 Items @ eBay AU

210

Check your EBay inbox to see if you have the offer. It has been a long while since the last time EBay offered this.

What is the promotion?

Pay no insertion fees and $1 in Final Value Fees per listing on up to 10 items you list and make available for purchase in Auction-style or Fixed Price format on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (see exclusions below).
Insertion Fees are the fees to list your item, and Final Value Fees are the selling fees charged on sale of an item, calculated as a percentage of your total sale price.

Got a similar deal last month and sold a bunch of stuff lying around the house! Just remember to read the T&Cs carefully - one of them I got caught on was "Single quantity items only". I listed an item as having '2 in stock' and was charged Final Value Fees for both (luckily Ebay customer support gave me a one-off refund)

    • " (luckily Ebay customer support gave me a one-off refund)"

I wasn't so lucky with something else.

So, I did an auction and I sold the item. The winner was an idiot and doesn't want the item

I offer it to the 2nd highest bidder, he accepts and I get charged for final value fees because of that.

The Ebay customer support chat didn't offer me any kind of refund :/

      • Typical eBay! The hoops I had to jump through when an annoying buyer decided not to proceed with a purchase in order not to not be charged … 9/10 people on eBay are great though, still prefer it over Gumtree/Fb, where you tend to get even more unreliable folks.

I got the "unlimited free listings!" offer on all three of my accounts this weekend, the one you get excited about until you realise it doesn't say anything about final value fees and is basically no different from the 40 free listings per month you always have.

    • Other thing that catch people out is that the final fee promotion no longer apply if the item get relisted (I.e. ebay automatically does it).

Cheap! Insertion fees normally cost me a few hundred

A few hundred in listing fees? What are you listing? 10x used cars?

should be final fee. List fee is usually free.

  • I can see the following in my selling account:

Is this the same deal OP posted?

    • I doubt it if it does not say anything about final value fee.

  • across three of my accounts, nothing. Damnit

  • can someone share the link if they received it in the email ?

    • Go to My EBay> Selling. Look at the Promotional Offers section. If you have it, it would show up there.
