First time poster so apologies if something's not clear. I just ordered one of these for $300 from Amazon. Seems to be getting decent enough reviews over more expensive alternatives such at Synology and QNAP. Sounds like it'll be a great little Plex server.

        Still waiting for all my HDDs so I haven't given it a test run yet. I'm not expecting Synology level performance given the low RAM and single ethernet. Still should work well as backup box.

            @batrarobin: I notice this one doesn't have any warnings about low stock so I've reached out to TerraMaster to see if they can offer a deal. Imagine if it was $100? That would be a bargain for a simple 2 bay that can do plex and the other basics.

    I've been in discussion with TerraMaster about more deals. They need to refill their stock at Amazon as pretty much everything is out of stock. I might try and aim for a deal on one of their higher end models depending on cost.
