Rechargable battery week continues!
Good news for those who were too slack to catch the DSE Eneloops, JungleJumble's Eneloops, then DSE's restocked Eneloops again. I have both Eneloops and these Vartas, they seem to last just as long.

Spotted at two Coles outlets here in Brisbane, so it should be everywhere else too.

      yes - bought all remaining stock at coles manly vale and half at coles stocklands balgowlah

      except AA varta nimh 2500mah was incorrectly labelled $3.96 for a four pack instead of $7 (2100mah pack was $7)

      use a lot of AA batteries so stocked up - got 5x four packs all up for under $20…. Duracell rechargeable was $22 for just 4 batteries :) I got 20 batteries :)

        the 2500mah ones are of a different type (i.e. for high drain devices as it loses its charge quickly) hence cheaper

    I saw some in my local Coles last week but they didn't have any of the LSDs on special. I don't think I'd ever buy non-LSD rechargeables again.

    Got some from Coles at Robina on the Gold Coast, but it has different prices.

    $3.96 for Varta 4xAA NiMH 2500mAh
    $5.98 for Varta 4xAAA NiMH 1000mAh

    So even better :D

      That's what Coles Stockland Balgowlah had - I bought 3 packs and they had 3-4 more.
      Also bought 2 packs at Coles Manly Vale (all the stock they had)

    Bought 2 packs of AAA energizers from Coles Bundoora and another 2 from Unihill. The price tag had the regular price ($13 something) but they scanned $2.80 each. So maybe its worth checking other stores.

    Varta AAA for $6 still available at Coles Kardinya (WA) on Saturday.

    About 3 packs of Varta AAA Ready 2 Go and a stack of the normal AAA at Greenwood (WA) about an hour ago.

    I picked up some of the Ready 2 Go and thought about getting the price match + 5% off at Office Works with Officeworks where they sell for $17! :D

    Deal seems to be still going. Bought some Varta AA and AAA packs at Coles Fairfield West NSW.

    The shelf label said "$16, down from $19" but they checked out at $7. Could be a run-out sale as Coles has introduced its own Coles brand of rechargables.

    I noticed that the older AA packet claims 1000x recharges and the newer ones claim 300x. I am sure they are the newer ones as they look the same as the ones on the web site so must be the current ones. Anyhow, CHOICE tests showed that 300x is more realistic and by that time the batteries are only holding half their rated capacity.

    Plenty of Vartas at Coles Yarraville (the supermarket formerly known as BiLo).

    No more Energizers for $2.80 after my visit (there were only three).
