    This is an interesting feature.

At this price point it really should have a blu-ray player.

Interestingly it does appear that Sony are exiting the 'Home Cinema Audio System' market. It is either components or sound bars.

I don't think this marketed as a home cinema System more as a personal stereo. You are paying for the audio capabilities of the system more than any thing else.

    • Not a big fan of the blue-ray player. A decent projector is more like a home cinema to me.

The speakers look like eyes, and the main unit the nose. I think I couldn't buy it as I'd feel like I was being stared at….. that and no bluray. ;-)

    • Now I can't unsee this!

    • Reminds me of Bumblebee

  • I’ve been looking at one of this exact model for the wife since before Xmas. $480 was the cheapest I saw from Kogan in 6 months so this a good price. Pity I pulled the trigger 3 weeks ago for Mother’s Day.

  • Can the lights be turned off / disabled?

    • I would say so. My Panasonic has a similar system that can be turned of.

  • One thing to keep in mind these are high powered units. I took mine apart to clean it as they have a built in fan for the amp. Might not suit every ones needs having a fan running. Fan only switches on past a certain level which means you can't hear it.

  • " Connect up to 50 compatible home audio systems and synchronise the music and lighting."

Well that's one to go with a strawberry alarm-clock.

  • Would love to get one but no stock in WA.
Delivery $50 kind of ruined the deal.

      maybe you can price match?

      • I tried appliances online but they advised that they got no stock
