    • +2

should have used 28degrees then you would have price protection

      • +1

Doesn't cover groceries and minimum claim is over $1.5

        • LOL

Sorry one of many bad jokes

          • +9

            @[Deactivated]: This is ozbargain
$1.50 is not a joking matter

            • +1

              @mith: Please don't report me

              :P

I won't do it again (at least not for the next 10min)

          • @[Deactivated]: Soo good 28degrees and cashrewards to get that sauce that's free at any fast food joint 😂

Same price at Coles this week, $3 for 2L.

    • +1

when will woolies "ketchup" with their pricing

      • +2

Now you're just making up tomato pulp fiction.

        • Do you have a sauce for your claim

          • @[Deactivated]: He's a well-known fountain of knowledge.

    • Don't need to buy such large quantities, either. Alternative, you can buy larger quantities in smaller containers to keep it fresher.

  • +2

Same price at Coles (2L for $3).

    • This is $6 for 4L.

      • +4

        Buy 2 then.

        • Hahahahha

  • +3

I'd buy it for the 4L bottle and the free delivery. Basically multipurpose. Lunge weights and a condiment and a liquid container.

    • Takes up a HUGE amount of room in the fridge,
You would probably never use it before it expired.
You miss out on all that valuable 'lunging' exercise :)

      • If you're refrigerating your sauce you're doing it all wrong

Gotta get that Brown on the top

The amount of sugar in sauce means it's generally fine in a cupboard.

Like many Choice tests you can take this with a grain of salt/sauce, but fwiw: https://www.newidea.com.au/best-tomato-sauce-ketchup-in-aust…. The fact that they didn't deduct 10% for any product labelled as "ketchup" is a travesty.

    • It's a travesty that Beerenberg ranked last, behind Black & Gold

      • +1

Yes taste is an individual thing so Choice using "experts" to judge is simply trying to add credibility to a test where it obviously isn't merited.

This from New Idea is also a tragedy:

90 percent of marks for taste, including 50 percent for flavour, 30 percent for texture, 10 percent aroma and 10 percent texture.

Edit: Just found the Choice test and apparently the last 10% was for "presentation". Presentation? Choice credibility just hit rock bottom right here.

    • We all know that ketchup is an Aussie pantry staple? 100% deduction

      • Can't wait for their "cookie" blind test.

      • pantry :o

We all know it goes in the fridge after opening

  • Expiry date was sometime in 2021 iirc.

  • +1

Why Amazon when you can same price local?

  • +3

I am obviously the only person who thinks this stuff tastes garbage compared to masterfoods and heinz?

    • I'm curious what brand KFC uses for their ketchup – I always enjoy theirs the most

    • This crap tastes like metal

    • +2

Heinz is for me, this is for the kids.

  • I bought a bottle of this in 2015 and it’s still going! Past the before date, but still tastes alright.

    • +1

I agree, it tastes off from the minute you open the bottle

  • Not my favourite - too watery for my liking, and lacks the flavour. But a good deal nonetheless.

  • Good deal for a free Jerry Can after you're done with the sauce!

  • Is this good enough for my 1983 Sigma?
