It actually…does go that deep. And it looks quite clear too.
I have one of these too, it's pretty cool but it definitely does not go to anywhere near 1000x.
I know because I use various microscopes on cell cultures, and those top out around 400x, and you can clearly see internal organelles.
but…I payed extra for the 1000 :(

a colonoscopy is a type of endoscopy procedure (the other being a gastroscopy)
Maybe protoscopy, but colonosopy would be a stretch.

Only ones I could find on ebay for less than $30 were from overseas (delivery date July) or lower spec or without stand.
