Free Month of Readwise through Referral Link (Normally $8 USD/Mth (~ $12 AUD) )

10

Readwise is a service that helps you remember what you read by sending you highlights from what you've read on a daily basis.
You can receive the highlights via email or via the web app. It has integrations with Instapaper, Kindle highlights, iBooks and so on, so your highlights get automatically synchronised.

Here is an in-depth article about how to use Readwise: How to Actually Use What You Read With Readwise

All new users get a free trial month, and 1 extra month for free through a referral (60 days total).
Note that you need to sync your highlights from another service to be able to get the extra month.

Here is the full list of services you can sync from:

  • Instapaper
  • Pocket
  • Medium
  • Hypothes.is
  • Kindle
  • iBooks
  • Twitter
  • Goodreads
  • Bulk import (csv)
  • Freeform input
  • Supplemental books — most popular highlights from a given book

    Seems pointless and expensive.

OP, do you genuinely believe a one-month free trial to be a good deal? Or are you just hoping to get a bunch of free months via referrals?

    • Good question. Since it's using spaced repetition, I think Readwise is the sort of thing where you have to invest a bit of time into it before it starts being useful for you (if it is useful for you at all), so the extra month is extra time to figure out if that's the case. But also, getting free months via referrals would be great for me as well. Then again, if it's something that people actually find useful, other people will add their referral codes too which would minimise the number of referrals I'd be able to get.

There's also a $5/month option with fewer features which is what I'm leaning towards, but I want to wait for my trial period to finish before I buy since AFAICT the purchase goes into effect immediately.
