    Just an FYI, the ax5000 has issues with android auto. I've had one for over a year and consistently disconnects with assistant often not working. It's like it can't take too much data flow from the phone and falls over. Pretty common from what I've read online. Tried a barrage of different cables and troubleshooting. No dice.

    Just read a few reviews, ouch I'll avoid this model but I'm looking at the AX5000 since it seems to be a more reliable unit. Unless there's a cheaper but decent android auto unit that can take a camera.

      I have the XAV-AX5000 and the one thing that bugs me is that you need to wait for the navigation to speak and then adjust the sound to turn it up or down otherwise it only adjusts the music sound level.
      I was hoping a firmware update would fix it, but so far I’m on latest and no difference. .

      Trying to adjust the volume when it’s speaking is harder then you think too, as most times it’s short and it happens at times when you need to make a turn etc so not a time where you can free your hands and focus to the stereo.

      I just installed a pioneer in my friends car and when you adjust the volume on that unit, you get a dual volume bar on the screen so you can adjust the volume for either without playing catch with the UI.

      My ax5000 has been running well for a year. I chose it for the capacitive touch screen which is nice when compared to my old resistive screen

    I've just recently bought the Pioneer 5350BT, it is bloody fantastic! Beautiful capacitative screen, everything works as it should. I thought the lack of volume control knob would annoy me, but it hasn't.

      I'm currently looking to upgrade my 380 with the same unit. Out of interest did you install yourself? Cost?

      I'm looking at also installing the head unit and a reversing camera while I'm at it, to keep my 380 up with tech. Any tips would be welcomed.

    I'm after a single DIN unit with CarPlay but can't convince myself to pull the trigger for $1k. Hopefully eventually a company releases a sub-$500 CarPlay unit.

    Not a deal on the Sony XAV-AX1000. It's been priced here many times for under $300 and you also had it priced at $349 just a few weeks ago. $388 is your regular price even though your website say 29% off.
