-10deg to 40 deg operating temperature. Wonder how can i work outdoors during summers!

    • they melt…

  • Reviews seems to be pretty bad in terms of battery life
if you are placing the cam in places that actively detecting on movements (eg. a busy pathway / street)
It can run out of battery in 1-2 days

Main problem I have with these is with saving videos to the Cloud, the low resolution 360p works every time but changing it to 720p or 1080p for the Cloud fails… even if the bitrate is set to the same as 360p. Support say its because there isnt enough bandwidth, but given you can set 360p bit rate to max and it still works, and is then higher than 1080p lowest bitrate, that makes no sense. In addition there is a way to make it work, if you go through the settings to check the current cloud save bitrate it will connect to the camera and check current settings. Once it has done this it will then work for 2-3 minutes saving anything to the Cloud no problem, even at the highest bitrate for 1080p… however after that 3 minutes or so it goes dark again and will not send anything anymore.

Local saving works fine, streaming to a phone works fine, downloading the 1080p videos from the device works fine… the above is very simply a software glitch, but getting their support to understand this is impossible. Can repeat it 100% of the time, but their solution is simply only use 360p for cloud saves… bah.

Edit: Oh and yes battery will be dead in a couple of days in a high traffic area unless you have the solar, not too bad in places that see nothing that activates it though.

Cant reccomend uniden based on using some of their other cameras. Battery life is terrible and expensive to replace. Support also not helpful in my exp.

  • Are there any decent wireless camera systems? I’m keen to know
    Thanks

      EUFY or ARLO

  • Have had these for a year and cant complain.

Have 4 camers all plugged to solar and no issues with battery, in fact since been on solar havent had to take them down and charge since so a year without taking them down.

All mine are in low traffic areas, dont know why you would put it in a high traffic area unless you want it to record all the traffic.

Free cloud is great, yup not 1080p but still clear enough to see faces and license plates.
Also picks up rodents running around backyard.

For the price this is value for money cams.

For security they also great cause if power cut they still work due to battery and record to sd card even with no internet.

    Cant fault their value.

    • Cloud 720p/1080p (clear mode) would work if they fixed their software, so there is hope…
