went to HN today and saw there were 4 days Biggest Big Screen Deals and found this bargin LG 42LV5500 42" Full HD LED TV for $699, cheapest i can found on the net is $999. Also 47" (47LV5500) is $899. Don't know whether the deal is nation wise or not, but the deal ends 26th Sep 2011, so hurry if you need one.

      it's brand new, i just got one myself, they don't have stock at the moment because of high demand, need to wait until next week to get the stock.

    are these smart TV's really worth it though??

    I heard there is a Bigpond app you can install, but what does it do exactly?? Still seems pretty good price, but I think I am going to wait until Xmas before buying a TV - hopefully then they will have Samsung LED for around this price or less.

    Can someone other than OP confirm 100% that it is that price nationwide? It's just so hard to believe. $150 cheaper.than the haggled down second cheapest price I could find.

    I'm confused, everywhere in QLD has them listed as the 47" being $997 and without the remote or wireless dongle… anyone seen different? I got offered the display one for $899

      And then of course when I turned up they had already sold the display 47" to someone else for $997… lol, ended up taking the display 42" for $699… and listened in awe as the head sales guy spewed ridiculous amount of (largely false) shit about cable types, bluray players etc to an old guy and his son.

      I love being an informed consumer :)

      sales still on at nunawading vic. out of stock, but i just put in an order for the 47" one, to arrive in a 1-2 weeks.

      also, the 899 price is for the 47" 50hz. its 999 for the 47" 100hz

    I got the last one at my HN on Monday

    It is an awesome TV. I am surprised because the Smart TV features are actually useful! LOVE the crunchyroll app! They seem to have forgotten to add ads even if you arent subscribed.

    Yes this sounds like a great bargain too me, apparently the TV has excellent picture quality and for a 42" FullHD lED this is a great price. Makes me wonder what sort of bargains we are going to see at Xmas sales..
