Hoover 6V Cordless/Bagless HandiVac $19.99 (+ $8.95 Shipping)

200

This would be great for cleaning your car with. This handheld vacuum retails at around $50 so I thought it was a great deal.

Go easy on me as this is my first time submitting a deal to ozbargain.

  • 6V doesn't sound very powerful.

    • +1

haha no it doesn't. I think the 6V is referring to the capacity of the battery if I'm not mistaken

    • well actually my current one runs on a 2.4V battery (its a cheapy for kmart).

although more battery doesnt mean much, it either means more powerful or it will last longer.

(and yes it could be a much worse battery, and thus be neither, but i doubt it could be worse than a kmart cheapy)

i had one of these. it has a 6V battery. mine lasted about a year and a half before the battery couldn't hold a charge anymore.

still, these are better than those vacuums that run out of your car's cigarette lighter.

    • I've got one that runs from a usb port! lol

      • Hehe those ones. Just for giggles, I ran a USB vacuum from the USB charger attached to my car's ciggy socket. It sucked :(

        • Yea same here.

  • Good price, housemate recently bought one for $40 at Coles. Comes in handy cleaning corners and cars.

  • I was looking for a car vacuum. Hope this does the job; just bought 1.

Bought 1. Always wanted one, great for the car, great for small crumbs and spills, saves you having to get the big vacuum out each time for a 10sec job.
Can't wait. I'll be like suzie-homemaker up in this [mod: removed - language]! :P

  • want one of these bad but not buying anything from cotd due to previous experiences

  • Are there any discount coupons for COTD that are active

    • 3OFF , gets you $3 off.

  • I pd $32 for my cordless handheld off ebay. Has a 8" x 1" narrow extension for nooks + crannies.

  • 6 volts is gutless. You want 12 or more volts if you want one that is not underpowered. Also if you want the batteries to last make sure it is Lithium powered.

  • Sold out already. Any other deals on this type of vac?

  • Dyson cannot even make a decent cordless vacuum for $250+ that lasts more than 5 minutes. What hope does the Hoover 6v have at $20.

  • I saw Aldi have some 12V one for around $25 last week, but I'm not 100% sure.

    • Pretty sure Aldi's was the week before. I got one. It's not great, but then again my car hadn't been vacuumed in about 2 years so maybe I was asking a bit much of it on it's first outing. It came with a rubber end tip, a brush end tip, and a long thin end tip for corners.

  • FWIW I'm VERY happy with my Dyson DC31 (purple, with motorhead). It could suck a golf ball through a hose.

It has a boost button so you can choose between power and battery life. Mind you it was $268 or so delivered from Appliances Online.
