ditto, dont even have an xbox…. but, free is free!

  • +2

    Free is good

    • +1

      Agreed

  • +4

Cheers. Added to the countless LEGO collection.

I actually enjoyed the Star Wars and Indiana ones.

  • +2

Haven’t played a LEGO game since Indiana Jones on the PS2. Stoked to try this out, thanks OP!

    • +5

They've come along way since then.

Some of the best family local co-op games available.

    • +5

      I was the same.

Lego Marvel got me back in. It was fantastic.

Subsequently played Marvel 2, Avengers, DC 2, DC 3, Jurassic, Hobbit, LotR, SW3, SW:TFA, Incredibles, Harry Potter, and probably some others.

None were that good tbh. But then, the only series I cared about were Star Wars and Spider-Man so YMMV. Anyway point being, give Lego Marvel 1 a go, it's dope.

      • +4

So much love went into Lego Marvel 1 imo, I really never was able to get as invested in the 2nd one or Avengers.

  • +1

    Thanks OP :)

  • +9

Nice. Probably will never play it, but it's another one for my collection

    • +15

I have a lot of games I'm waiting to play in my retirement.
Still another 30 or so years away but I won't be bored then.

      • +2

Hahaha I'm in the same boat tbh

      • +6

Same - ill hoard a load of games in case im stuck at home with nothing else to do. I'll finally get around to all those games then

        Oh wait…

        • Have a baby?

          • +5

@RocketSwitch: That what puts the handbrake on gaming.
But now all I get is questions about Minecraft…

          • +3

@RocketSwitch: Dream on. I've had a baby. Haven't been able to play a proper game in 8 years. It's just mobile games for me now.

            • @BadGiraffe: Must be doing a better job than me. I was still able to put 80 hours in Fire Emblem, Pokemon and Animal Crossing with baby. Mostly 2-3 hours once they're in bed.

Thanks sss333. Always happy to add another Xbox One title to the owned list. 👍

    Cheers mate great find!

    Thanks

Thanks OP, sold my xbox last week but that doesn't mean I won't get another when next gen comes out!

  • +1

Got it, my kids love this one on game pass.

  • +1

    Thank you

  • +1

Thanks for the heads-up. Microsoft is on to a winner with their gamepass service.

  • +1

So many free games, loving it!

  • +2

Haven't played a Lego game since Indiana Jones first came out. Might have to give this a whirl. Keen for Skywalker Saga though.

    • +1

I’ve stopped playing lego Star Wars with my son as we are waiting for the Skywalker saga to drop. Waiting until October I think. This and a few other LEGO games will keep us busy until then.

Normally $104.95? Seriously? Has anybody, anywhere ever actually paid that much for this game? The likes of RDR2 don't even cost $104.95, but the Lego Ninjago Movie game does?

    • +3

I'd say extremely wealthy parents who just purchase a game when their child wants it, potentially? Even then, I doubt it.

    • I would say no… but that can still be the RRP.

I would guess a lot get it at that price of play it if/when it appears in The Game Pass.

    • +4

It was $89.95, not sure why it was changed to $104.95

    • +2

LOL digital download prices are just nuts sometimes. Especially the Switch store, yikes.

No I don't want to pay $50 for LA Noire, thanks Nintendo.

Even if it hadn't been on sale for $5 over 100 times in the decade since it came out, I'd still think $50 was about 10 times too much for this not-exceptionally-popular title from 2011. But thanks for offering…

  • +3

I don't know what a Ninjago is and I'm pretty over Lego games (outside of replaying Star Wars), but free is free and free is for me.

  • +1

    "Free" my favourite word

  • +1

I'm surprised anybody can claim this game. Even if you don't own an XB1 console it will still be added to you MS store library.

    • Ahh this is why I couldn't install on my pc. What an idiot I am.

      • +2

It’s also free on Steam for PC :)

  • +4

It's good to grab it even when you are on gamepass as the game is leaving gamepass at the end of the month. Perfect timing.

  • +2

Thanks OP! I don't own an Xbox but I'll be checking my options come end of this year. Might start grabbing some free content as it comes up for the account just in case.
Anyone have any other free content suggestions?

    • +3

Try the Crackdown games for the Xbox 360. They're playable on Xbox One and I think they're free without a subscription:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/531870

Free games like this pop up from time to time. If your leaning towards an Xbox then it may be worth purchasing a Live/Gold subscription so you can start claiming the free games every month. They may not be the latest or greatest but you will be able to play close to 50 games at the end of 12 months and the ability to play online.

      • ohhhh good plan. How much is a subscription? And how do I get it the cheapest?

  • +1

Free on XBOX and steam later….no PS4?

    • +1

I feel like it’ll be coming.. similar to how Pac-Man championship 2 was rolled out

      • And Switch will miss out again…
        (Happy to be proven wrong)

        • +1

          Yer switch too

  • Does this game actually retail for $104.95?!

You've gotta be blocking kidding me!

  • +2

Thanks OP, kids will be pleased with Daddy's hunting on OzBargain today!

  • +2

Don’t own an Xbox, probably never will, got it anyway.
