      Hi Kaiserkid7,

We wish we could bring you price this low but with the following circumstances:

      • Covid19

      • Aussie Dollar

      • Raised Shipping Prices (To get stock to Australia due to Convid19)

      • Supply Chain Shortages

Price increases have been seen across 95% of products,

We do still try to bring you the best price possible

Yes has been a lot cheaper in the past…

Expensive. These things were selling at $292 a few months ago.]

    • not sure why you were voted down for that

  • I have an Acer Predator XB270HU that's artifacting pretty badly. Is this much of a downgrade?

    • Yes, it's 1080P compared to 1440P on your monitor. Is also GSync "compatible" rather than having an actual GSync module in it.

      • Cheers. I'll just wait until HDR 600+ monitors get cheaper.

got excited for a moment, unfortunately not 1440p and only brightness of 250 :(

  • Nice monitors, I have 2. Paid $300 a piece pre COVID (03/2020). Good for working from home and Xbox/PlayStation. Worth noting is that these have full rotation which you'd often end up paying more for (was a feature I was after)

  • bought it from futu ebay for $351 on the end of March

I'm interested in the AOC 24g2 any sales on that model?

    • Hi Gogo,

Sorry we don't currently have a deal on this model

      OP

      • is there anticipated to be a deal on the 24 in the near future?

  • +2

Bought this in February 2020 for around $290 (free shipping).

  • I'm interested in the AOC 24G2E5, any deals on that model?

  • +5

    Ah it's 1080p… 27" is 1440p territory for me.

    • +1

I bought a 1080p 27" monitor and it was absolutely shocking. Can't believe they are allowed to sell this crap resolution on a large screen.

  • Now that all the WFH crowd have settled to their setup and the world is opening up, the question is how long before monitor prices drop? Any guess anyone?

    • +3

      Hi Will,

Our guess will be around two-three months until supply starts to steady,

Nintendo estimates it could take up to 6 months for them to meet the demand for their products.

Most monitors have seen price gains of up to $100 for models below $500 and $200+ for models of high specifications.

This is also fuelled by Samsung having factories closed who are a major manufacturer of monitor panels.

This combined with trade wars reigniting could see prices staying put for a decent chunk of time.

This was similar around the time the mining boom peeled off prices were still high for months, some of these high prices are driven by the manufactures and distributors increasing their profits while they still can.

Prices will also stay high especially on "essential" items for people to work from home with like monitors until demand dwindles and suppliers start to have stock in their warehouses instead of a lengthy line of backorders.

I hope this helps you answer your question,
