  • Do the puffer boots have steel caps?

    • +2

they should do cause people will shoot them!

    • Nope

  • Caterpillar Colorado (Sundance) is very cheap at $79.99.
I bought two pairs for $99.99 last January 2020.

https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/search/go?w=MENS+WAYWARD+WA… is a very decent looking waterproof shoe for $79.99.

    • Damn it,
Just bought the timberlands and now I wish I got these instead

    Curse my commonly sized feet!

  • managed to pickup one after this many hours of the deal being posted, helps being a US13 that there are a few still left

      Fellow 13 - I went for a much nicer colour though: https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/men-s-timberlandr-heritage-…

Very nice, I own a pair of the very same timberlands, they are fantastic, a bit different (and better i reakon) from the typical mustard you see everywhere. The most rock solid boots I have owned, had em for nearly 10 years now and they still look new. Mind you I don't wear them all the time, they are freakin heavy.

        • fellow 13 here too! I've had timberlands and am astounded with how long lasting they are. are the caterpillers as good? I'm torn between these timberlands and the https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/search/go?w=MENS+WAYWARD+WA…

          • @omghi2u: hey Mate, this is what exactly what I ordered, they look great (I love the military style). They also look much lighter than the Timb's which Im looking forward to. While I haven't tried them before I am optimistic.

            • @opti: Wow, just got my deleivery! I ordered midday yesterday and got them delivered this morning, Amazing.

The boots look great! very comfortable, perfect fit for me.

              Platypuss, you've done it again

  • I wonder if you could restain them red timbs to regular colour.

    • Red is a regular colour

      • I meant regular colour for boots, like black, brown or wheat.

  • Thanks OP!

Thanks OP. This led me to the https://www.merrellaustralia.com.au/ sale, which is apparently also owned by Platypus Shoes. (Receipt came through as Playtus Shoes trading as Merrell)

  • thanks!

  • Update:
My boots arrived today, I bought 2 caterpillars.

    Notes:
    - they are NOT steel capped
    - my work boots have the side zipper and I realised how annoying it is, not having the zipper with the CATs
    - when doing up the laces, there are 2 open hooks but then the last top lace is not a hook, instead, it's an eyelet which is inconvenient when putting them on and off.

I'll consider returning one pair at this stage.

  • You're the best, OP.
