Don't know why I need this but thanks!

    • It's a stick on whiteboard surface

  • +1

Thanks! Subscribing to their newsletter is not mandatory

    • I didn't select that option either, but the email I recieved after submitting said: "Thank you for signing up!
This email is to confirm that your Free A5 Post-it® Dry Erase Sample is on it’s way."

      And at the bottom:

"You are receiving this email because you signed up as <my email> to receive our emails."

I just used a email account I very rarly use

        • yeah, i would use one of those alternative gmail addresses, like adding "periods" in between your name or adding something at the end using the + sign, so that ti can filter filter them out

          • +1

@pichxlonco: Personally, I just have disposable ones, I walk-away from after a couple of years.

        • +2

I have a separate gmail that's the same as my genuine email but with spam on the end for stuff like this

  • Looks like it's easy to stick on walls, but is it easy to be removed?
Don't want to leave any permanent marks.

    • +24

I got one last time it fell off by itself
, so I'd say yes lol

      • lol

  • Thanks, Always wanted to try these in my class.

  • +1

    Thanks

    Thanks OP.

  • wonder how many they're giving away …

    • +4

      3 Million

      • +25

I don't know if they'll stick to it.

  • Thanks

  • +14

    Thanks OP, hopefully they… Post-it

  • I have three whiteboards already in my Work From Home office, could always use some more real estate

    • +3

It won't increase it my much, the sample in question is A5 (a sheet half the size of A4)!

      • Nice to have something separate that can be kept as semi-permanent

      • oh yeah oops… i forgot A5 is smaller than A4, i was mistaken for A3 size.

        bugger haha

  • Dry etase is good but I can't say I've had particularly good experiences with Post-It's staying stuck into anything.

    • Genuine 3M?

I've got drawers full of random ones, and they seem to spoil over time.

  • I wonder how small this sample is. By the picture it has a very small test area.

    • +2

      It’s A5.

      • Interesting I don't see A5 mentioned on the page. Edit, it's in the T&Cs

  • Seems like the primary purpose of this product is to re-surface an existing whiteboard, rather than stick it to your walls

  • -4

A few years ago they did the same and no one received it.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • These don’t come cheap if you really do want to resurface a whiteboard… https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/search?q=Pos…

Might as well just buy a new whiteboard!

    • +1

wow! For that price I might get some fake email addresses and sign up for enough of these A5 ones to stick them together and make a giant one

  • +2

If you are chasing a great portable whiteboard check out Tesla Amazing (actual company name) and their magnetic boards. The 'magnetic' paper really does stick to almost every surface. I've had these since they started on kickstarter perhaps 5 years ago and still going strong. An actual whiteboard would be cheaper though.

    • +4

For a small portable whiteboard, I just use an A4-size glass-fronted picture frame or "certificate frame", with a sheet of white paper as the document, and use dry-erase pens to write on the glass. Unlike most whiteboards, the glass will never stain, and is easy to clean. Can also use permanent markers, but you'll need alcohol or metho to erase.

Using a picture frame, you can also put permanent lines or text on your "whiteboard", by putting them on the sheet of paper. Like "I'm out of office, I'll be back at".

      • Great idea! You're living in the future man!

  • +1

Thank you OP. This must be the fastest upvotes you've got for posting a deal :)

I ordered one of these the last time but never got anything.
    I'll try again. Thanks, OP!

  • +1

    It's free, so why not?

  • +2

just got one. now time to figure out what i just got.

    • Is it too big for the office mail box? Thanks,

      • Just imagine half of A4 size.

  • Thanks mate….

  • Thanks OP !

  • I get free is free but what practical use does a 21x15cm size sample of surface material offer?

    • Would be a nice message board on the fridge.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, just got one.

    • Done!

    • +1

      Damn, you're greedy.

    • +1

With any luck they'll send you none

      • -1

not sure if Ozbers are just a gullible bunch or don't get sarcasm unless it has something to do with bikies, eneloops and high yield investments. Probably a combination.

      • Let's Hope so.

  • Not submitting :(

    • I had that issue with Firefox. Worked for me in IE.

      • worked for me in firefox

  • +1

Upvoted but not gonna get one, still haven't used last times lol.

They're just collecting names and emails now

    • what did they collect before?
      still alright or nah ?

      • Nothing in return

  • I've always wanted to be an architect.

    • I to cant find. looks like they were overbooked

  • I still havenot received mine. Anyone?

    • same

      • +2

        Nope.
But I got an email this morning with the subject: "How is your Dry Erase Sample going?"
Obvious answer: "I wouldn't know, because I have not received it yet".

        • +1

          I got same email.

        • +1

          got same email. didn't receive.
          T&C says

          1. 3M Australia is not held accountable if the product sample is not delivered successfully.

but again it said it will start to dispatch from 25th May.

Hopefully by end of this week, we might get it

  • Same email. But never got anything. Poor!

  • +1

I think it is a marketing ploy, Get your Details and send nothing

    • That's why I used a trow away email address

  • I received mine. My husband knows me so well, he immediately asked what free sample did I request when handing the envelope over

    • Sydney ? I'm in Queensland and have't received.

  • 5 weeks now. receive nothing

    • Same. Can't see it coming.

      • They get your info, send you nothing. Maybe 50 people get something and that is all.

  • Mine arrived today… folded in the mail =(

  • Received mone, metro Perth

  • ………..

  • Still haven't received anything..

  • 7 weeks now.
    I haven't received.
