Seiko Mens Automatic SRPC21K $194.65 Shipped @ Starbuy eBay

PHREEZE

Original Coupon Deal

Was just browsing and saw this nice little piece going at an amazing price for an automatic watch. Same movement as most of the Presages (4R35). Hardlex glass and at 42mm, it's on the slightly bigger end of the dress watch sizes.

The dial has quite an interesting blue ripple effect and I think the only thing that I find odd about it is the date box. Not quite sure what it is, but I could overlook it at this price. Great first automatic watch if you're looking to get into this obsession (because it clearly is) which won't break the bank.

Thank goodness this is out of stock. Yes, watch collecting is an obsession!

  • I'd been waiting to get this one for while :'( damnit. Bought 2 watches last month and figured 3 was too many in one month.

    • Too many?! Not enough!

  • I had no idea they had an eBay store. Thanks for the heads up OP!

    • No problems! And I don't think they price jack!

They do for some watches, need to be very careful and always cross check back to their main store.

        • Do they? Or do they run separate specials and just don't update the eBay prices?

@Munki: That's what price jacking is. When you are part of an eBay promo but your eBay prices are higher than your website prices, you aren't offering a real discount.

            • @xyron: Price jacking is boosting the price so that after a coupon code/sale, it's back to or close to its presale/regular price. It's not a discrepancy in pricing between their own website and their eBay store.

What I want to ascertain is whether the standard pricing between eBay store and their webstore differ regularly. That could come down to them running promotions on their own website which they don't have to run over at eBay considering they still have fees that they need to pay for selling on that platform. I don't monitor their two stores closely enough to make that judgement, but so long as they're not raising prices when sale time comes, then they're not price jacking.

@Munki: We'll have to agree to disagree. I also don't really buy the argument that selling costs are higher on eBay so sellers should be entitled to charge more - they have selling costs on their own platform too.

Throw a "selected sellers" coupon into the mix and you have a recipe for misleading and deceptive conduct. If they weren't part of the PHREEZE code I would probably agree with you.

I love StarBuy but that won't stop me calling them out on their pricing inconsistencies.

Apologies, I was responding to xyrons comment.

Good point, I had a Citizen Promaster on my eBay watchlist,
even after applying these eBay coupon codes, it never went below
or matched the regular price that was available on the StarBuy website.
Not having a go at StarBuy, I think they have some of the best prices
          and great customer service.

  • Did anyone end up buying one of these and decide they didn't want it? Interested to grab it off you (happy to pay $200 + post or pickup in Melbourne) before I pull the trigger on one from a random seller on eBay.
