They’ve been flogging this one for awhile. I’ve got one - works really well but putting the line back in the feed is an absolute pain in the ass!
I purchased it over a month ago at 249$, good machine and does the job well but like Little said, pain in the ass dealing with that trimmer head
What's sort of run time do you get? And what size battery?
I use my Flexvolt battery and use my blower as well. Do the front and back yards and nature strips and get decent range from the 6ah Flexvolt - only loses a 3rd if the power according to the little battery indicator.
Line trimmers don’t chew through that much. It’s blowers that kill ya!
@LittleTicket: We have a Ego 56volt blower at work with their big 7.0aH battery, and that thing is done in about 30 to 45 mins. The same battery lasts longer when it is used in the mower.
I don’t know why blowers eat batteries like candy…
@pegaxs: Damn! I’d assume it’s the motor pushing sucking in air at such a velocity? Or maybe it’s the stop start triggering that sucks the battery? Either way I’m with you, the blowers are killer to a battery.
I got the same package with the 5amp battery. Front and back lawn which I go over twice, bit of the nature strip and only 1 of the 3 Battery indicator is missing. Looking at getting the 18v blower at 249$ to empty the battery on, but the 54v at 149$ + 100$+ battery is holding me back would love some input into which path I should take .
You can get batteries "free via redemption", if you only spend $2499-3499…
Just gotta work out what I’m going to do with the other 9 lawn trimmers I don’t need…
Read from previous deal that someone price matched at bunnings.. But don't seems to find the same combo kits at bunnings website.
Nah, Bunnings does not have combo - Trimmer with battery and charger, only skin.
FYI: I purchased this from the deal a couple of months ago, and on a whim tried the bonus redemption promo they had for the Line trimmer skin. Turns out it worked, I just received the Dewalt Bluetooth speaker today. In the end turned out to be an awesome bargain :-)
