Coles Mobile 365 Day 48GB Prepaid Starter Kit $120 @ Coles

250

Seen in the app and in store. Seems nationwide. Usually $180, the lowest I've seen before was $130. This basically is like paying $10 per month for 4GB with unlimited calls and texts on Optus.

Save even more by using this with your Flybuys offers such as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/537636

wouldn't touch optus with a ten foot pole,
so many times when i call people on optus i get a message "sorry, network is too congested" have had two friends recently complain over facebook that they just cant use the service, once changed there home broadband (4G) to another service. and the other is stuck in with them.

do not recommend- something like boost 12 month plan is about the same, but better.

Yes I get messages with missed calls while my phone hasn't rung at all. This is across two phone numbers on Optus network (Catch mobile). Also when I send sms there is sometimes a significant delay to the recipient of 3-5 hours. Other than that, the network coverage doesn't seem worse than other networks. It's actually better or same as Boost Telstra where I frequent.

    • and add a couple more complaints in the last couple of days.
      Optus sucks badly.

get Boost for $135 when it's on promotion, 80Gb, Telstra, International calls, and so on…

I use about 2 GB pm so this deal would be better for me. Optus coverage is fine where I am, I don't make international calls…

except I just bought a 12 month Boost recharge three weeks ago.

      • "except I just bought a 12 month Boost recharge three weeks ago."
        LOL…

"Optus coverage is fine where I am"

except other people probably get the network is congested message, when trying to call you, id also be interested to see your speed test results, did one with my testra phone yesterday 43.4Mbps, so decent. (mates did one yesterday as well. 1!)

  • I get Boost $150 with 5% discount on woolworths card. Haven't seen a $135 promotion for a long time.

    • Is this 5% discount obtained by using a gift card to buy the sim?

          • @pao2x: Hmm interesting. I know e-gift cards shouldn't work on sim packs though. Maybe because the Boost was a recharge voucher only?

            • +1

@CVonC: No, it shouldnt work on a lot of things, like other gift cards mobile recharges etc, but most of the time it still does. It should work on simpacks I think.

      • +1

Yes I use a woolworths gift card to buy boost recharge vouchers. You can do it with the sim too

  • The link shows the normal cost of $180. Has this deal expired, or am I missing something? :)
