Last time their REP said will have special today may be wait a bit longer to see if anymore special code.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/538388

    • Have sent a message to the Rep asking if we are going to see a deal. Thanks for pointing it out.

    • Trueair has gone down $5.40…not exactly super exciting. Hopefully rep will have to code to bring it down.

    • Any news on the code for true air?

      • Anyone interested in the true air should pm the rep, hopefully enough to convince them

        • Just pm'd the rep and the only deal they have is the 10% they have going on now. So they come down to $48.59.

          • @Buggzy: Got the same response too, asked for a code to bring it down to the price of $42.49 back in march/april bleh

            • @Ughhh: So this time just 10% off on some models and no code is needed, like Truebuds also discounted.

BTW, except battery life is Trueair better than Truebuds?

              • @superforever: I'm not sure to be honest. I've ordered them so we will see.

              • @superforever: According to their description,

                For Trueair
                - Total battery in case can hold 30 hours
                - Earbuds can hold 5hrs (5hrs playtime from single charge)

                For Truebud
-Total battery in case can hold 70 hours
-Earbuds can hold 3.5hrs (3.5hrs playtime from single full charge)

While Truebud has a bigger battery in the case, the earbuds is a little weak. If your train trip is 2hrs, Truebud might be better for you. If your train trip is 3.5+hrs, Trueair might be better.

                • @Ughhh:

BTW, except battery life is Trueair better than Truebuds?

Yeah, I know Trueair have better battery life.

  • Ping the rep

  • 31 hours play time? Is it possible for single charge?

    • That's for the case, not the earphones.

    • I have amended the description to include time for single charge without the case

I really like their headphones, I have a couple of pairs
However they really over exaggerate their battery life, you should divide their figures by half and then some, though I still get decent usage out of them and i like their build quality
I've noticed (on my iphone) that the battery is exhausted at 30%-40% and needs to be recharged before it can be reused (it will keep switching itself off)

      • Yeah, I have Truebuds I can see it dropping fast during use but Truedot battery life is better but I like the Truebuds semi insert design more comfortable.

But 7 hours for this one still very good.

  • Does anyone have this? I have tried Truengine SE and returned it. It's "good value for money" - but not as good as many OzB and Amazon reviewers claimed.
It would be interesting to compare this with other brands like Sabbat E12 Ultra, Fiil T1X, Mpow T5 etc that costs around ~$90-100.

I have these, was a part of the Kickstarter and paid around $115. They were great, during the time they worked, until only one paired up and the other earphone was stuck in limbo.

It's been a bit of time and have been meaning to get back in touch with their CS team.

Battery would last for a long time, would use it at the gym and during my breaks at work and from memory would only need to charge it every week and a bit!

The case is the perfect stand for you phone when opened and propped in a certain way.

They are comfortable while in ear, and do stick out further that I would personally like, but it's understandable as it is dual driver.

Loved the fact that it is wireless charge capable too.

I honestly think these are a great buy for this price if you're in need of some decent sound quality in a wireless form factor with wireless charging.

      • How's the call quality?

        • Sorry for the late reply.

Not great, never tested out calling someone using it, but the girlfriend said she could barely hear me. I think it takes in a lot of the surrounding sounds.

          • @m0rty: No worries, thanks for letting me know!

    • Trueengine SE - what was your issue with it?

      • Its just nothing special about it. Dont get me wrong, its good but its not great. Get cheap good wired earphone like KZ ZSN (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/428784) and use Fiio BTR receiver, you can hear the difference in term of clarity.

      • I had a set, nice sound. Dog chewed one. Just upgraded to Sabbat 12 ultra for better call quality and big bass. The SE's were nicely balanced and more air than most options I have heard at the 50ish price point.

        • Do you see Sabbat as an upgrade from SE in term of sound quality or on-par but different signature?

  • I got the true shift 2, paid around $50. Haven’t charged the case since 7th May, happy with the sound quality and Bluetooth performance so far.

  • is it good for phone calls, teleconference, zoom and skype?
    Particular in a noisy environment?

    Thanks.

    • Not very sure about Truengine2 but most of their other models not very good in noisy environment.

  • So no codes arrived from the rep as he promised :'(
That sucks I was ready to pull the trigger if the price got to $80

  • @spcoker do you have any news re discount codes?
