Hard to justify paying $25 for a take away pizza. $25 eating in a restaurant with service is a reasonable price. Not worth $25 even with $5 discount.

    Sorry OP.

    • +4

I’ve never eaten the pizza but what you just said doesn’t make sense.
A fresh pizza with fresh good ingredients is worth the money.

A fresh pizza with fresh good ingredients is worth the money.

I agree if the pizza that they serve much your description worth $25. But the fact is they are only 100% better and 300% more in price.

Can't judge on individual Experience, but my 3 separate experience tells me your statement is not correct.

Imagine Domino put the same wording against their piazz.

I mean, if you're happy with eating Dominos, I won't ruin it for you.

I'm simply not happy with eating Dominos. I regret it every time.

      • +2

        Crust isn't better tho.

        • This is right, I had been led to believe Crust was a lot better so i paid the much higher prices and really, i felt it was marginally better and some of the toppings / flavours i preferred on dominos.

        • +2

          Cool.

These are franchises, and I've had consistently bad pizzas at one store vs better ones at another.

      • +2

I don't eat Dom much but I would happy to spend $25 in an Italian restaurant but not in an overpriced takeaway pizza shop.
Sorry, it is my own opinion, surely you have yours differently.

      • +2

Just most of the time when I get a pizza from somewhere else I can't justify the price increase over dominoes for something marginally, if I'm lucky, better.

Some Italian restaurants will make you the same pizza as dominoes for 30 dollars.

My personal $6 cheapo Crust is to instead buy Domino's $5 beef and onion and add peri sauce for $1.

    • +5

I agree. Crust is better than dominos imho, but only slightly so. Certainly not worth the fact is 3-4x more pricey. For that price I'd rather go eat at a proper pizza restaurant and use dominos for my takeaway needs.

  • I don't mind getting Upper Crust every now and then..

  • Had one small, one medium and one large for $31. Good times

It's just wayy too expensive for what you get.. Even with this code it's $19 for a basic pizza. I've tried them a couple times and no complaints but can't justify the cost compared to other options

The only fairly priced Crust pizza I have ever had was the garlic prawn pizza during this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/355982?page=1

    • That was my last time eating Crust pizza. But it worth my travel to the store.

    • The first time I tried Crust Pizza was when it was free from this deal.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/355982

It's much better compared to Dominos or Pizzahut's. Also they have more options for Vegetarians. The pizzas I order costs $19 for medium and I don't mind paying it every now and then. If I go to dine in a pizza restaurant I will definitely end up spending $50 for two of us.

aldi pizza <$5 and is just as good

my local crust wizz's all over dominos, i like the meat deluxe with pineapple. I also got a free herb and garlic squares for being a VIPP, ordered it for dinner pickup :D thanks OP.

Get out of here crust employee.

Crust is definitely better than dominoes but not worth the money.

They use to have a $10 lunch deal for small pizza and coke which was great but at $20+ for a large pizza, not thanks.

That's proper woodfired pizza eat restaurant prices. We have plenty to choose from in Melbourne, well when Covid 19 is over.

Lygon street is full of dominoes level pizzas you will pay 30 dollars for.

      • You seem bitter. Who said anything about Lygon St.

DOC pizza is close to Lygon street and is fantastic.

I'd say Crust is worth the price over Domino's, while both are reliable. Non-chain pizza has less ingredients and is less reliable in my experience—that or the pizzas cost more than $20.

  • Depends on your local crust. I used to have a decent one that would pack the topping and I’d order extra chicken on my peri peri and it was perfect, 3 slices would be enough so you’d get a few meals out of it.

They have upped the prices since then and cut back on the toppings to cover costs but it’s not as bad as dominos where I can pay an extra few $$ for extra mince and pepperoni on my pizza but only get a pinch of meat per slice and the rest is basically sauce on dough every time. The pizzas have shrunk so much now it’s like a kid size lunch pizza. You have to upgrade for an extra $3 to get the extra large pizza which is the original size before they shrunk. But even then you’re just paying an extra $3 for more dough and the same amount of topping spread over it cause they prob have a limit of topping to use per pizza

  • domino's New York range is bigger and better in taste imo

  • Only time I ate there the pizza was thin, dry and borderline burnt. Once was enough.

  • Same thoughts as last time this deal was on. A long standing Groupon deal has 2 gourmet pizzas for $22 from a local shop and very high quality pizzas and with the free $10 groupon credit, makes it less then $10 with the cashback for 2 pizzas, while Crust is around $18 for one.

  • I remember there was a coupon on here a while back and their store actually called me to say that they will need to cancel the order as the coupon wasn't legitimate although it went though their system online

  • I will need more like 50% off deals to really justify buying from Crust. I think they are just marginally better than Dominos.

  • ITT: marginally better pizza not worth X more because it's 3X more $.

    A 50k car isn't 100x 'more car' than a $500 death trap.

But I'm happy to go for the better of the two because I can. But then I guess I might be on the wrong site.

Was the 5 minutes of my life typing this post out worth X more than whatever else I was gonna do with that time?

    • Which one is a code?

    • May be, if you consider time is monies
