  • For those with Amex, you could save an extra $15

  • Are they worth it? Last long?

Amazing quality boots, such limited sizing available in the mens Turnouts though.

I believe so. They're also designed to be repaired rather than replaced so depending on how you treat them, they can last a very long time.
eg - when the sole or heel or tags get run down to the point that you would normally replace the shoes, you send them back to the factory and have the worn out part replaced.
I've even heard of people owning them their whole life and passing them down to their children.
Sounds a bit extreme but each to their own.

  • I've heard good things but do they make any with a steel cap?

    • No.

I am looking for a good pair of goodyear welt steel capped boot that isn't made in China. Looks like the only options are from Red Wings or White's. Both are made in USA.

      • Chippewa are US made and Goodyear welted if you want a cheaper option. Not sure how easy they are to find these days though.

  • I’ve been thinking for some times now to finally get a pair.

Are there different styles/types for men?
Is the difference just the look?

    Any recommendations?

    • Comfort craftsman is their most popular boot, but it’s not on sale. I would wait for it to go to sale.

      • Thank you! I will wait, do they go around the $400 mark as well?

$445 for Craftsmen @ Nunga Trading daily (crap website but great phone service). Or recently got a pair from ebay here for $400, but that required stalking ozb and patience.

FYI $400 is cheapest I've ever seen them, even factory seconds cost more.

I have the Comfort Craftsman from a previous Ozbargain deal and agree these are the go,if only because the sole on this model offers longer wear than a straight leather sole.I can't stress enough though how important it is to get the proper fit….e.g.I normally wear a AUS/UK 8 but wear a Size 7H in the mentioned boots.RM Williams use very old school size and width measurements and actually getting a fitting at a retail shop can be a problem in itself as the retailer knows the brand is available cheaper than the $595RRP.Some even state outright that they expect you to buy the shoes if they go to the effort of fitting you, which is fair enough from their point of view.I had great service from the RM shop at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast if that helps.
