Found this deal thanks to Pricehipster - down from ~ $80. Would buy it but I've already bought the previous Bosch drill bits deal. Don't think Bunnings sells the 40 pcs but checking on eBay, most are being shipped from US - found one AU seller here selling for $95.65.

Set Includes
Number of Bits: 40
Screw Bit Type: Screwdriving
Material: HSS (High Speed Steel)
Quick Change: Yes
Shank Type: Hex
Backed by DEWALT'S Accessory Warranty: 1 year

Reviews also looks good on Amazon.

This is from Amazon Us, so need $49 in cart from Us to get free shipping

Easy to avoid though. Just add to your order a book that isn't out yet, order, give it a few days then cancel the book.

        • can you please let me know how to search and order a book from US amazon to qualify for free shipping? thanks

@andyken: There's no automated way to search for pre-orders as far as I know. Just check out some active high profile authors, tick the "Imports into Australia" box, search and then look for something not yet published.

James Patterson is one you might use. I just found an audio CD by him that's on pre-order with a date of July 27th:

            https://www.amazon.com.au/1st-Case-James-Patterson/dp/154918…

            Select Pre-order, add to cart.

Note if you start flicking between other editions it may flip over to Australian variants so you need to pay a little attention and redo the search if necessary.

Not this 40 piece set, but Bunnings has the 31 piece set for $25 local stock:
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-flextorq-impact-driving-k…

    • I ordered the one posted here to get the magnetic screwlock sleeve which isn't in the 31 piece set. Also the one on amazon has the see through case so you can see what's inside without having to open it.

      • Just fyi - if you are after magnetic try (I think dewalt have one of these as well, but cant find).

Makita B-35097 Impact Gold Ultra-Magnetic Torsion Insert Bit Holder - 2 Pack $20 of amazon

        These are awesome.

  • The trouble with this set is it looks like the bit holder only supports flextorq bits as it’s longer than other holders

I was looking for another bit holder but that makes it a deal breaker for me

    • Looks like a normal 1/4" bit holder to me?

Not sure what you mean though, the flextorq bits wouldn't attach any differently to any other 1/4" drive bit or they wouldnt fit in your impact driver without an adapter and you wouldn't use the bit holder with the longer bits.

      • The flextorq shortest bit looks longer than normal fixing bits due to the flextorq part in the middle

The holder in the picture swallows up flex torq bits with only a small piece at the end showing

Would appreciate being wrong but not willing to take a chance when other sets aren’t much difference in price

        • Ahh I get what you're saying now.
I thought the one with the bit in it was like the full boar kit below where you can't swap the bits in the magnetized holder. I thought you meant the normal looking bit holder, not the one designed to hold the screw with the magnet.

I've got the FB kit and really like the magnetized screw holders but would like to be able to use all the other bits in them.

For those looking to compare, I was very happy with the quality of this set:

    • I grabbed one of these the other day as I needed a set quickly. Snapped 2 square drives on 40mm screws even with pre drilling :(

  • Was 29.92 when I bought it last year

I wish Amazon AU would start selling proper power tools like their US website does.

  • Got this a while ago. Really good bit set. I think I paid $26 from Amazon.

  • Does this set or Bosch have the drivers for Robertson or square screw?

  • 1" SQ1, SQ2, SQ3
    2" SQ2

  • No love for Pozidriv?
No PZ2 bits in this set or any of the sets linked either. My cheapie Ryobi kit at least has one. It reminds me of that AEG driver kit that didn't have at least 1 flathead, as lame as that design is they still use them around.

I'm not pro PZ, I just happen to have that Aldi 1000pc screw set lol

  • Is there a Allen Key Version ?

  • Why not hex bits?
