I agree, it's a bit lame how you need Orign and then that Browser thing.
Freaking crap Acer laptop.. It's an Aspire 5742 and can barely play 1.6 on 20 fps.

went "under" the ground and shot everyoneThe game is buggy as hell on 360. When you 'quit' a game it just dumps you at a black screen for ages. Hopefully will be patched very soon. Still quite a fun game.

Just register an Origin account - you don't have to download the game to do that.
Surprisingly I found my usual gaming nick taken (this username for ozb), so I had to settle for the same as my steam one.
I found my very obscure alias taken as well. Strange.
I found my nick to be taken as well - also my OzB username - after going all the way through to making a new Origin account I discovered that the person who had taken my nick was actually me when I made an EA account years ago.
Thanks I will do that when I get on a computer. I don't understand though how does that work? Like in BC2 I would sign in with my email then choose my in game name and log in. The only way to create your IGN was from the game itself
Had a couple of hours with it now and I'm really impressed. I really like the laser/flashlight effects to let you now someone's aiming at you/blind you. The movement feels heaps better than any previous BF games. THANK GOD YOU CAN GO PRONE AGAIN. The sound is AMAZING, as it was with BFBC2. I had a few little bugs here and there. Twice I couldn't aim down the sights and for a minute or two I experienced these sporadic green flashes.
The only thing I truly dislike is that godawful browser-based Battlelog thing.

A $45 (UK) to $100 (AU) game, FREE to play for a month? It's a deal in that sense.
my comp runs this game in slow motion, than again i dont have the best spec computer, time to upgrade!
People should stop complaining about bugs. It's beta, that's what it's there for. Arguably, they might be releasing an incomplete game, but I think that's the misinterpretation by the gamers, rather than a true sign of failure by game-makers.
Beta yes, but only one month out from release and players are randomly falling through the map?
From the source: "- Terrain destruction disabled, because it causes problems with people crawling around under the map. We have a proper fix for this in the retail game, but chose to simply disable it for the OB"

Absolute lagfest on my xbox. And the graphics seemed worse than the last one from what I could tell between lag, laag, laag lag lag.

i had one good run yesterday but in general it's a poor beta. the idea is generally to find bugs and glitches that arent obvious but this is a joke.
still fun though i havent played with anyone with a mic yet…
and yes graphics on 360 worse than bc2 but sound is once again perfect. wish i had surround sound system or headphones. my stereo headphones still leave me wanting :p

Agreed. It's a game demo/beta. Plenty of games release these. Do we really need to start mentioning every single one that comes out? I didn't think so. Why this is on the site is beyond me.
There is a pretty good chance I would not have heard about this if not for this post. And as far as I'm concerned, and as has been mentioned above, you get to play a new game for a month, for free. Good deal.

I understand what you mean, but this is the best way for them to stop piracy.
Also, I think in time you will get used to it and maybe even grow to like it… people just hate change. Like with Facebook, everyone rages when it changes, creating groups about how crap the new layout is. And then after a bit, people just get used to it and nobody cares anymore.
I love the game but I hate that browser-based battlelog with a vengeance.
just got mine running, nothing fancy hear i5k 6850, runs smooth, screen tearing, and a general i dont know whats going on feel to it (me)

Just got it installed… and I can't see any Aussie servers. Game doesn't seem to launch either…
you have to search for the servers yourself. Don't let the website do it

A 69xx isn't considered 'average'. The 69xx series cards are high-end class 1 graphics cards.
