    Didn't see the price, I thought it's free :(

    • +10

5 finger discounts are readily available at your local brick and mortar store.

      Won't work online.

  • +1

Controller alone is $79 on Amazon. Decent price for this combo. Must have to start moving stock before the end of June šŸ˜‚

    • +4

The normal pro controller is $79. This special version is not.

      • +8

Exactly my point, you're getting the smash edition version, extra value.

        • -7

ā€œValueā€. Itā€™s the same controller with a subjectively shit looking skin.

          • @cnut: Splish splash your opinion is trash.

            • +1

@Damonator84: The normal pro controller looks better.

              • +1

@Vinodra: Same function, but this has less availability, increasing demand and limiting supply, increases the actual value.
                All subjective.
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder

                • @Damonator84: Thatā€™s why I said it was subjective. I too prefer the regular pro controller.

                  • @cnut: Usually I look at the TV when I'm playing, not at the controller.

                    • @Damonator84: I have OCD. I like stuff to match and donā€™t like tacky stuff on my gear.

                      • @cnut: Ik ik
But when gaamesman have it for $220… EB price is decent.

  • +1

Amazon selling the game $68, controller $79 at the moment.
Not bad price, assuming you can find stock to click and collect
    $15 post otherwise

    • +3

      This controller?

      • +1

Yes, the Switch Pro controller. The one in the OP is 'limited edition' since it has a Super Smash design but they are essentially the same thing

        • +6

          Tell that to collectors

          • -1

@Ulysses31: yes. collectors will tell you how expensive this will worth after 10 years. which I believe as well. this is a great collector item.

            • @ghostdom: Doubtful, might be worth a tiny bit extra considering it isnt actually a limited item, they are still making them over a year after the game released. Might be worth 5-10$ more in the future.

    • +7

While the regular Switch pro controller can be had for that price, it's worth remembering that the Smash Bros edition of the Switch Pro controller is jacked up everywhere to ridiculous proportions including Amazon making this a good deal for those who want it.

      • +1

True, better value if you wish to sell later down the line

  • +1

Damn, went OOS at the store I was checking out with before my payment was processed, now OOS everywhere around me…oh well hopefully amazon or someone will match

  • Would buy this, but need to find a Switch somewhere first…

  • So for a none Nintendo / Mario Fan, I would be better to wait of a Costco deal again?

Last time they have it was standard pro controller $67 and $39 for the game.

    • Costco has stopped stocking video games I believe

      • Like many others, I just want the game and not so really desperate for it. Am I better want for a game only deal?

        • I mean, yeah.
You said you just want the game.

        • I am in the same boat - Have the regular pro controller already so just looking for game. It has been under 60 at Amazon so will just wait out. Good deal for those who want both controller and the game.

          • @bajirao: You don't need the Pro controller to play right? I am not a patient and committed gamer. Usually 10 minutes then I go do something else.

Also seem to be buying too much stuff, Console, Ring Fit, just broungh the three Lado with the sale plus Taiko No Tatsujin. Really spending out of my expectation. The sale is good buy though, play each one a week is already worth the money.

            • @syswong: Yeah i don't think pro controller is required for playing. I prefer the controller over joy cons so keeping controller for me and joy cons for kids.
You are right on expenses - the total money spend on games and accessories is now more than the cost of console!

  • +1

does this controller have sense motion like the joy con eg detects jumps in super mario kart?

    • +2

Yes the pro controller also has motion control. I personally haven't tested with Mario Kart (I use the zR button for tricks) but works for me in similar "shake the controller" functions in other games.

      • Thanks. Stupid of me to think there wasn't a button to do the same.

  • +1

Damn awfully tempting though i just want the game…

  • lucky there is stock for me near my area. thanks OP.

  • +3

6% off egift cards with suncorp - instant delivery and can choose exactly $139 bringing it down to $130.66 pick up.

    • +2

8% off gift vouchers from AGL rewards if pay by bank transfer, 7% with credit card. But can take 3 days to arrive.

  • Sigh just when I click checkout for delivery it now says out of stock. :(

    • I dont think there was much for pick up when I was looking. Have to order though delivery then they will put it on back order for you.

      • Yeah I selected delivery by standard post. Out of stock.

        • It should still let you place the order, just go on back order. I did that with the LABO kits and got a delivery date of 1st June as two was not in stock.

  • Only if that game was Zelda instead… >_>

  • The sales actually started on last Thursday. I was lucky wandering into Sydney store and bought one. It was sold out quickly when my mate wanted a copy on the next day.

  • -2

It is back up for ordering but I recon better value to buy the game separate with another spare set of joy-con.

  • Did anyone get a damaged steelbook? Mine arrived with some pretty bad scratches. I'm guessing it just got stuffed around a bit during transit.

    • My steelbook got bad scratches too. It was like preowned or display item. Luckily the controller is brand new.
