      warm kettle-cooked gravy

No wonder their coffee tastes funny

    • Btw if you noticed the Ham & Cheese and Hawaiian sound the same, it's because they copied the wrong description for the former.

The Schnitz website says this instead:

A golden, pan-cooked schnitzel, topped with a layer of Napoli sauce, slice of shaved ham & oozing mozzarella.

  • Is it $15+ Delivery or $15 Delivered?

    • +1

Delivery seems to cost $5 (mod: edited) on top.

    • Some of the Melbourne CBD stores have free delivery + 10% off first order

      • +1

        Mine was +$5 for delivery

  • -1

They call themselves experts for throwing toppings on a schnitzel? Lmao the word has no meaning anymore.

    • +2

Really? That's your take? It's a fast food chain not 5 star dining. Most mom and pop shops apply a lil mayo to sell their food - I don't take everything written as gospel :)

    • Incorrect. They called themselves experts before introducing loaded schnitzels.

  • Menulog…yeah nah… too soon.

    • wadda mean? Also, can anyone comment on the size of the parma?

      • They only use chicken fillet portions. I have seen them uncooked and would never again buy their products. There is no value.

      • +1

Its on the small side (probably about 12cm) and pretty thin

But you get chips with it so it's not a bad size meal for lunch

        • +1

          But it's also cursed

  • Ordered for $5 delivered last night for lunch today… if it turns up

    • appreciate your review later if you can remember :)

      • I've had their normal parmas before, bloody tasty but don't expect pub size parma ;) decent size still

      • Yeah, looking at their photo it looks like it's about the size of 2.5 600ml bottles of soft drink. As Spackbace mentions, doesn't look that appealing.

      • Tasty, filling enough for lunch (coz of the decent amount of chips). Good for $5 ;)

  • +1

They could have at least used a more appealing picture for their promotion. That one does nothing to make me want to order a schnitzel.

    • That picture still looks a hell of a lot better than the one I just got

  • Their meals are not full chicken fillets, but rather fillet portions. The advertising of "chicken fillets" across their menu is misleading. My take on this being a value deal, or bargain - it would need to be $5 for one (including chips and drink). Save your money, look elsewhere.

    • Forgive me but what is the difference?

      • Weight to start with. Go to supermarket, buy two chicken breast fillets. Cut one into three portions. Look at the portions and see if you can tell the difference between the whole fillet and one of the three portions. If the answer is no, then to you there is no difference.

  • Seems all the Schnitz in Melb (at least on the south side) have just changed to "closed" on Menulog :( anyone having any success ordering?

    • Yeah same, can't order.

    • I wonder if that's related to the $15 coupon last night

    • Tried this last night while we were standing in front of the store, went up and asked why we couldnt order. They weren't sure but put the deal through for us manually using their normal system!

  • +1

local Schnitz in NSW has "closed" on Menulog, just before the lunch rush.

    …lovely.

  • Wait, so that parma would usually be $15 just on it's own? Jeebus

  • Thanks OP. Ordered two. The Parma is tiny. It does look like the picture though.

  • EBAYML10 not working for me. Says min spend not reached.

    • +1

min is $30 spend, you may be eligble for 10% off first order which would make the total $27, just add something else to your order until total is $30

      • Thanks mate. Worked when I got the order over $30. Actually was a delicious meal. Parma not huge but lots of excellent chips. Couldn't finish the meal I was so full. Defintely recommended for $10 per parma.

  • Tried this last night, our menulog would only let us order for the next day, so we went up to ask why. They weren't sure, BUT they manually put the order through using their normal system. Apparently it's not a menulog only deal, she said it's the normal deal! But I'm wondering whether she used like a secret menu or something.

Gave us the loaded parma without the chips on top though :(

  • Ordered two the other day, didn't get either of the drinks and the 'loaded parma' didn't have any cheese on it, just chips and gravy. Compained to menulog and ended up getting a $15 credit.

Annoyingly also, my schnitz is advertised as "Free Delivery", however when I get to the checkout there's a $5 delivery charge. Super weird.
