As someone with 730hrs of play time i can't recommend this game enough. The original parts of the base map (UK and parts of Germany) plus the Going East expansion are definitely looking a bit poor compared to the newer map expansions but still a very worthwhile purchase. Scandanavia, Vive La France, Italia, Beyond the Baltic Sea, Road to the Black Sea all get better as well. The Iberian peninsula is next up and SCS are always updating and improving the game.

Chuck on a podcast or have video playing on a second screen while you deliver cargo all over Europe. You can even sink a few beers whilst driving from the safety of your own home. This is a nice relaxing game you can jump in and out of whenever you want.

    • As someone with 730hrs of play time

      Username checks out.

You should really transition your virtual career into a real one; truck drivers are in demand at the moment.

      • I actually drive a vehicle on rails for work lol.

I work in light rail not heavy rail but the pay is still decent, the work is easy physically and I'm in my own bed every night. Only downside is it is tiring mentally as you have to be hyper aware of your surroundings and watching for pedestrians and cars at all times. If something happens all you can do is pull the emergency brake, you obviously can't steer away from anything, and hope you stop in time.

    • Have you been on the roads in Europe, or been to any of the cities it explores? If so, how realistic is it?

  • I too play ETS2, but in VR. Odd how such a straight forward game can be entertaining, but not all games are about competition.

Everytime I pull out from the home base, I'm singing ".. On the road again, I just can't wait to get on the road again…" and then that line gets repeated over… again… because I don't know the rest of the lines

I curse you with the farts of a thousand camels!

I'm trying to save money, not be enticed to blow it all on a setup like that.
