  • Do you have 850mhz coverage?

    • Yes metro area supported, if you check voda coverage site.

  • which network?

    • vodafail

    • I think I'll 'pass' then…

  • They're under vodafail network.

  • Just bought Acer Liquid Metal and looking for plan with data. (Acer with 850/2100)

    Just in time for me.

So I just need to signup with my existing mobile number and put the promo code and that's all? And you will express post the SIM to me?

    • 5c per mb versus 3c per mb on crazy john's (and 300mb free per recharge)

      • +1

Crazy Johns charge per MB block and they are 20KB block a big difference.

  • The feedback given is strangely one sided ie no negatives or no less than 4 stars. With that sort of feedback they musnt be using any of our current carriers?

You're charging 15c per 30 seconds, while other providers are charging 10-15c per minute (Savvytel Lite, Pennytel, Lycamobile/GTmobile, Amaysim). Not such a good deal. The only good deal is to get the $50 free credit, then move away immediately after it's used up.

    • I am thinking to join them just because no credit expiry and kiss to kiss 5 mins free.

I can call my family free, 5 mins is enough.

Also others charge per min, so in some case end up the same.

  • I don't see the deal. Hello Mobile has a 25c flagfall and no call rate. They also have 10c texts (possibly 5c soon) and 3c/MB for data. They also use the voda network so you can use the 850 network.

    • The big difference is 90 days expiry and Kiss no expiry and their promotion is for limited time.

    Meh.
Telstra have free text messages and the best coverage.
    Why bother?
Sorry, but I don't see a deal if a compromise is involved.

    • Free texts to telstra only, 28c otherwise, call rates 89c/min.

You obviously haven't done your research…

    • +1

We all know Telstra coverage is the best but they are also the most expensive which for casual user like me I want "not too bad" and cheaper plan.

    • Telstra have free text messages and the best coverage.

A blanket statement such as that is just totally wrong - no free texts here, whether to other Telstra phones or not.

As I see it, having to be with Telstra to get the coverage (which we have to) is a compromise. I hate them with a passion - customer service went out the window years ago.

  • Can we have a deal for existing users, please? Get $50 for $25, or something. They used to happen.

    • My colleague is using kiss at the moment, he told me he received a promotion of free credit from them.

Did u receive it if you are their existing customer.

      • No! Hmmmm….

    Dude, you're kidding, right?

It took all of about 2 minutes to establish that every piece of feedback on WOMOW is dodgy, and with most of what I bothered to check on truelocal being duplicates of what's on WOMOW, most likely all of the feedback there is too.

From WOMOW all 59 pieces of feedback are by people who registered that very same day, and are often within just a couple of minutes of one another - really instills confidence in your service.

    • Hi Geewhiz

We sent an email out to our customers asking them to write a review on us - good or bad (yes good or BAD). Yes we paid them $5 in kiss credit per review. We would rather invest our marketing dollars into our customer base than some fat cat in a suit selling ad spots. We have nothing to hide and proud that we offer these types of initiatives to our customers. Don't remember another Telco doing such a program. This is not the first nor is it going to be the last type of customer incentive.

I hope this clears up the True local / WOMOW issue
