Are These PS4 Controllers Genuine?

Hi all,

I was looking up the current prices for a PS4 controller and came across a website called AllTech selling controllers for around $50 as opposed to the typical $78+ on other sites. Here's an example.

These seem to be an Australia based parts vendor first and foremost but information on them is super scarce online. Their website has only been mentioned in a couple OzBargain forum posts on something completely different to gaming. If these are legitimate controllers they'd be a good price though.

Anyone know anything about this place?

Thanks.

It doesn’t say anywhere that they are genuine Sony.

The description says “Gamepad for PS4”… It looks like the “ps button” is just a black button as well.

The price doesn’t include GST either which is dodgy af for a “Australian” website.

I’d rather wait till EB or JB has them on special for an extra $20 and get the real deal. No guarantees it would work either.

Absolutely - the difference between a high-quality controller and a knock-off is huge. Don't waste your money, controllers are regularly on decent discounts.

Hi Calman, they are not genuine judging by the photos. They are missing the PS logo on the on button, and the site does not refer to them in the way you would expect e.g. "White DualShock Bluetooth Controller" seems a bit generic. Here is a genuine listing from amazon where you can see the logo on the button: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VBBJ6KZ

  • Good point, completely glossed over the PS4 button. Guess I'll keep waiting for a proper deal (that doesn't include bundled games I'm not interested in!). Cheers.

    • Good luck, and remember to create a search alert so you don't miss a deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/125211

    • Buy for $79, sell games for $10 each = $59 controller

Or $53 if you have a CEX local

    • Amazon Prime Day is in a month or two so there'll probably be discounts. Alternatively, there have been deals for either $79 or $89 with two games and a controller bundled.

      • Doubt it. Sony didn’t do the days of play discounts on controllers like they usually do so I doubt amazon will heavily discount them. I work in the industry FWIW
