An old comment of mine if anyone is wondering about this KB:

The build quality is solid. From my research before I bought; Anne Pro builds are only beneath that of Duck boards, so pretty decent. Theres no creaking. The only thing that I would slightly neg on it is the USB C port can be very sensitive, sometimes any movement of the cord can disconnect the board. No prob if you were planning on using it wireless but yeah, as long as the cord has no pull on it its fine though.

So the arrow keys are there. Part of Anne Pro's 'Tap' feature. Essentially the bottom four keys act as arrow keys as long as you tap them. I love it. Also the functional keys still exist, you just tap certain keys + the fn key and they operate as their second function. The backlight is decent strength but the software is amzing, heaps of options. Hope that helps, I got the browns as I take it to work with me. Office space and all.

    • I second this, great build quality and works like a champ. I don't use it in on bt mode but does appare fly have am 8 hour battery life.

Solid keyboard , only complaint is the height. Best to have some sort of wrist pad, I personally use a wood one that's slightly wider than the keyboard from AliExpress, along with different keycaps.

    • AP2 is my daily drive, I am typing this with AP2.

Really like this keyboard, I use BT to connect to both of my laptops, and never really connect via USB-C. I like the tap feature as well as Magic Function key, I am not sure whether it is a common feature in many other keyboards, but with the easy to access arrows key via magic function key, I can do a lot of work without mouse, and never needing to move my hand out of my keyboard home position.

      Absolutely no downside of it.

    I pre-ordered the bw-kb1.
Hoping it goes ok, seems to have ok specs and the price is damn good.

    • How much did you get it for?

      • $68, first round.

        • how did you get that price?

    • I did the same, prefer dedicated arrow keys on the bw-kb1 though i hope the undersize right shift is not too annoying, the Anne Pro has full size shift key but arrows through tapping.

      • Not sure how I'm gonna cope with /? key to the right of the shift key though. But I did want dedicated arrow keys.
This to me is my inbetween Keychron K6 and Anne Pro2.

I've never had a bad BlitzWolf product either, so I jumped right on the pre-order.

How do you find the Keychron K6? and how does it compare to the Anne Pro2?

    • Have you received you blitzwolf keyboard?

I ordered last week and seems to have been delayed again:(

  • Anyone know how this compares to the Royal Kludge RK61?

    • the typing is better in the Anne pro. RK61 is a good value for money. ps im using it, it's good

    • Bought mine from Banggood 2 weeks ago and since yesterday, the F key has stopped working. Emailed BG post-sales to see if they can work something out.

  • Hi guys, looking for a wireless keyboard for gaming on the coach, will this be good enough? Almost bought it but not sure about the lag with bluetooth

    • This would be your best bet by a long shot imo. Very good reviews on this keeb. I would get one but can't justify a fourth mech :)

  • Are there any of these wireless mechanical 60%-75% keyboards that have a cover / case to transport it in?

Given how compact they are, I would imagine some people might take it with them in their laptop bag to use on the go. I'm surprised I haven't seen one come with the option of a clip on hard-cover to protect it in transport…maybe I just haven't look enough?

I have the Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard, and the cover that comes with that is awesome! If I had something similar for one of these 60% mechanicals, I would possibly take it to work with me in my laptop bag!

    I can't bring myself to get a 60% keyboard.

    • I’m currently on a kono nightfox and have no complaints. Although I must admit it’s a 65% but the space saved on your desk is just amazing.

I love the form factor but it's just not practical for coding work.

        • Fair enough. I'm not doing anything near productive when I'm on my pc/keyboard 😆.

        • +2

Not practical for coding? If you're using a 60% daily you'll learn to use the Fn layer so much quicker.

One of the benefits that is touted of the 60% is that all of the keys are close so you don't have to move your hands so much and can code faster!

          • @Murdrum: I've tried 60% its the quick access to Home and End that I missed.

            • +2

@Ryanek: I use an AP2 for coding and it's fine, Home and End are on the function layer and take the same amount of time to use since your left hand moves to the layer key as your right moves to Home/End. Or just use vim keybindings - no issues here.

  • Only blue key switch type left?

    • Looks like it.

  • +1

Can confirm that the AP2 is a fantastic keyboard. Bought one on the last deal. Went from a 75% to this 60% and don't miss anything. Typing experience is great, I'm still getting used to the FN key but soon that'll be second nature. The tap direction keys are a brilliant idea. Bluetooth has been reliable too, I don't really use it wired.

  • Can anyone help me choose a switch type for the AP2? I've not really used modern mechanical keyboards. Touch typist, prefer quiet, not a twitch gamer.

    • Prefer quiet- Not Blue… (I love blues)
Brown should give you some tactile feedback of activating the key before it bottoms out and you make noise anyway.
Red has no tactile feedback before the key registers, so you will need to learn how far to press the keys without bottoming out.
Black is red with higher resistance.
This is for cherry switches. There is loads of information about mechanical switches out there, so Google, Reddit and Youtube will help. Loads of mechanical keyboard fans on Reddit.

    • Looks like only one choice right now…

      • If you actually care about what your keyboard is going to be like to type on for hours a day, don't get caught up in saving tens of dollars on one keyboard.

        …do I quit OzBargain now?

        • +1

Perfectly agree with you. As I said above I'm on a kono nightfox and everything from the build quality to aesthetics is just amazing.

  • I'm seeing different versions of Bluetooth being sold with the Anne pro 2. Official Online site is listing Anne pro 2 with Bluetooth 5, I've also seen sellers on AliExpress noting the updated versions with Bluetooth 5.

Is the Banggood model being sold with Bluetooth 4 only?

RJ021 on another Anne pro 2 ozbargain post commented that the Bluetooth 4 has been updated to 5 via firmware. I'm unfamiliar with the hardware, is Bluetooth technology able to be updated via firmware or is this the hardware/chip different on the Bluetooth 5 version?
