  • International Payment means an international payment to a bank account using an Airwallex Payment Product or international card payment using an Airwallex Payment Product where the merchant or financial institution accepting or processing the payment is outside of Australia.

To avoid doubt, fees, charges, standalone foreign currency conversions and funds paid or collected into an account are not International Payments.

Doesn't seem as easy as just shuffling funds around? Unless you had a foreign bank account. Otherwise if their 0.3-0.6% FX margin is the only applicable fee ($12-$24 in fees on $4k) it's definitely worth it for 40k points

Would transferring into a Transferwise account work?

  • Interest in this and wanted to see if anyone else have any experience in it.

  • Do they have a transfer calculator? Also do you need to use the bank account of the company the account is in? I have a company that has an abnormal and actually need to transfer about 4 to 5g to the UK personally but wouldn't want to do it via my company, basicly would it let me use any account for the transfer?

The offer is only available to Qantas Business Rewards Members to earn Qantas Points for their business.

Kinda knocks most people out, unless there's a work around?

Depends on how you pay yourself, could be another set of fees on the way back too, still worthwhile for $24-$48

Would transferring into a Transferwise account work?

Assume so.. unique IBAN and swift codes for your Transferwise account.

Free to register for an ABN.
QBR signup fee($89.50) waived for airwallex customers, can link to existing QFF account and transfer 1:1

Just signed up to Airwallex, will update when account approved.

    • Free to register for an ABN.
QBR signup fee($89.50) waived for airwallex customers, can link to existing QFF account and transfer 1:1

Do you need to register QBR separately with Qnatas or signing up Airwallex would take care of this?

      • Should have the option to join QBR on signup at airwallex, not sure though, was already a member.

        Free QBR

        • Thanks, mate!
I presume you also meant that Qantas allows free 1 for 1 points transfer between QBR and QFF accounts. Did I understand you correctly?

          • @F1ngolf: Yes, just need to link the accounts via QFF and they both show up in your QFF dashboard.

    • So have you managed to get the transfer done? What is the total in fees? How long did it take to get your account approved?

      • Still waiting… rather convoluted onboarding process.

  • This is a targeted offer

    • Any restrictions/requirements other than has to have a Qantas Business Reward?

      • On the Qantas Business Rewards Scheme Terms -

"6.7 Unless otherwise determined by Airwallex, Members are not eligible to earn Qantas Points in the Reward Scheme if they:

        (a) have their principal place of business outside Australia; or

        (b) have not been invited via email to participate in the Rewards Scheme and/or failed to be approved for an Airwallex Payment Product.",

despite the fact that the bonus offer is on the website's landing page. Better watch out and reconfirm before proceed…

  • For anyone who signed up via this link, Airwallex initially refused to honour the deal saying we had to use the Qantas link to signup.
We sent them a copy of the email we received which doesn't mention anything about this requirement, the link we used is now 404'd.
Then we got added to the deal.

    • Any chance that you can upload a copy of the Qantas email.
I didn't receive such email even though I have a QBR membership.
      Thanks
