Pretty good deal for WIRED magazine, which is generally good value. Note that international shipping fees still apply if you want the hard copy, so I would recommend the digital only access.

It's always this price. Also beware, if you are not in the Apple ecosystem, nor want to read on a PC (eg you only have Android OS like myself) that you literally cannot read this TECH magazine…ridiculous!
When I had a subscription, I was able to sign into my WIRED account and read the issues in the Google News app
Even if you go with the print version it works out at AUS$53 a year or $4.40 an issue. If you go to a newsagent, it is around $10-12 an issue. And if you subscribe via an Australian magazine distributor such as isubscribe, it works out at $310 a year or a whopping $25 per issue. I've subscribed direct before to Wired and they send it economy airmail which means it's somewhere between sea freight and expedited airmail - usually about 2-3 weeks after US newsstand but, around Christmas time, it arrived only days after the US release. So at AUS$4.40 an issue, for those time-frames, the deal is is pretty damn good. And despite being relatively thin these days, Wired is one of the only magazines I read cover to cover. I did this last year… and they auto-renewed a week before it was due and gave me no reminder email or ping anywhere. Fortunately I saw it on my CC statement and was able to ask them to refund.
So if you do this. set yourself a reminder if you don't want to renew next year (@USD$30)
