Hard to say with the Sony website as they drop the prices of stuff without indicating discounts or sales and then bring up the price out of nowhere.
Regarding Waterproofing, from customer support:
"We would like to point out that the headphones are rated IP58 with a maximum recommended depth of 2m for 30 minutes."Regarding Noise-Cancelling, from customer support:
"The noise-cancelling function works for noise in the low-frequency band primarily (train, aeroplane, engine noise). Although noise is reduced, it is not cancelled altogether."I hope this helped with the individual's decision on whether or not to make the purchase.
Great. Have been looking for something to replace my Dash ear buds. Really liked the ability to use them independently of my phone ie in the garden or at the gym with my fav tunes ready to go.
I have the 700, really average battery life on the earpieces and also in the charging case. I also find it really annoying that when the battery is low, you get a warning and then they turn off rather than low battery warning and then at least sometime to sort out an alternative, particularly in the middle of a call!
I had the 900 to try to listen while doing some swimming laps (with the depth of no more than 2m for 30 mins in consideration) and sent them back after a week! They just sounded so "tinny" and low volume even in normal situations so not sure if I just had a bad set or what?

$279 on official Sony site so that before price from JB is false or out of date.
The sound quality is decent on these but not what you'd expect for the price. You're paying for the waterproofing and the inbuilt player sadly.
