ShopBack Denied Me a Cash Back - Very Dodgy

Just got an email saying I am not eligible for a cash back they advertised during click frenzy even though I have followed all the rules and purchased through their app on iOS.
I had used them many times but what happened now is basically a scam and I will never use them again
Anybody else had the same issue?

    Placed an order during their ClickFrenzy promo and did not track properly despite I used their Chrome Extension. Raised a ticket and got declined. Cashback was 20% so it was quite substantial. Can't be bothered to fight for this really. CR is much much better in terms of overall experience.

      Mine is about $20-25 and I wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t for that so I’m pretty pissed off

      • Depending on your bank debit/credit card provider there is a slim chance of a reimbursement.

    Most commonly it is the retailer's decision to deny it, Cashrewards and Shopback are both just middlemen - and they want it to get approved as they get a cut. If it is declined they get nothing but the pleasure of answering angry emails.

    I use Cashrewards where their rates are equal or better as they are Australian, but ShopBack if they have a good deal going.

  • Yep same here. Bought from new balance during click frenzy and got email today that it has been rejected as order was not completed or refunded. Order delivered and I have not requested for a refund lol.

    Quite annoying since the only reason I made the purchase was due to the bonus cash back…

    Plenty of people with the same issue. If it were any other small site they'd be banned quickly on here….

    Pure speculation but I reckon SB are pocketing the referral monies and when people complain they give $5 apology money.

    I've had three large orders not track (combined value of over $150) and dozens of smaller ones track fine.

    No more ShopBack. ^ Pretty sure they pocket the money.
    Same with me, only reason I bought through them was because of the recent ClickFrenzy.
    I raised a ticket, it’s been so long ago now I forgot about it.
    Today I checked it got rejected. What a scammer.
    They made you wait long so you forget about it.
    Stick with Cashrewards peeps.

    I experienced the same thing. I have used Shopback for a number of years, and the only time I purchase something over $1,500 - all of a sudden, the claim doesn't get tracked. I raised a request and then they asked for me to provide the invoice showing proof of purchase. I provided this to them and they still ended up rejecting the cash back claim. I have since steered away from Shopback and have been using cash rewards. The extra % back is not worth the risk of having your claim not track out of the blue.
