For warranty issues….a grey import is a nightmare.

A folding phone is another level of nightmare.

Good luck to all who purchase here.

Thanks op. Bought one for my 12 yo kid

LMAO a $2k folding phone with the dodgiest retailer on OzBargain….

    Yeah good luck with that.

May as well just give your $2k to charity or gamble it.

No, buy Escobar Fold 2. Cheaper and in gold (fake gold).

      • +1

Yeah I watched a great YouTube video on that BS this week

    Thanks OP! Didn't buy any.

  • +3

Yeah I'm gonna Fold on this one.

  • Keep your fingernails short, don't wanna munt up the 'glass'

    • At least it folds in, the ones that fold so the plastic screen is facing out might be nicer but scratch paranoia would prevent me sleeping

    • As a Galaxy Fold owner, I think this concern is overstated, honestly. As long as you're not poking it with a stylus or your keys, you'll probably be fine.

Thanks, brodened 5. EOFY sales sorted! Such a deal!

I actually bought one. I'm keen to see how this thing goes, always been a fan of Samsung flagships anyway.

    • I absolutely love mine. And I paid full price for it from JB Hi-Fi last year.

    • -4

How'd you pay? With someone else's money too I hope?

      It's also not a flagship… Well in 2020.

      • +2

It's still Samsung's flagship in the foldable mobile space, until it gets superseded.

        • +1

To be superseded very soon. There's going To be a Fold 2

I have heard that Samsung is preparing to clearance out Fold 1 to make way for Fold 2. Not sure if any will come to Australia or will mostly go to US.

  • You've gotta know how to fold 'em, know how to hold 'em…

Know when to walk away, know when to pun

This new form factor is really fun and exiting for the future of mobile computing.

It's a good deal even when it's still too rich for my blood. Hoping it will come dowm a wee bit more in the coming months.

    Sandpit lovers… avoid this phone.

And I was just about to buy my toddler one. Thanks for the heads up. Little one will just have to make do with an iPhone 11 pro max.
