Is this the perfect match for 3600?

If Shallothead offered this price when they sent the wrong ram in the CL14 deal I probably would of accepted.

I just opened the box I received in that deal to find the wrong RAM :(

    • Shallothead = Shopping Express, it's a front.

And, they STILL haven't refunded me for the wrong RAM… Who do I kick and scream to about this?

      • Same here, really not impressed

      • I sent mine back today, I'll update what happens.

  • I'm going to do a build with a 1600AF. I don't know what mobo yet, would this be good RAM without knowing what mobo I'm getting?

yep 3200 cl16 at $109 is pretty much pre covid prices

      • Thankyou kindly!

    • Yep, I don't think there are any AM4 motherboards that wouldn't support this RAM.

  • Good find. Note that it does not run at 1.2V for A-XMP, only for the 2133MT/s stock speed. These are also most likely Hynix chips, not sure which type though.

Edit: Digging through some reviews it seems to be Hynix AFR.

i think 3200 cl16 is pretty much the defacto lowest standard you should get for std. performance Ryzen builds.

There's not much need to buy better unless you clock and wants that extra 5% but for a lot more cost.

    • Personally I'd just buy a shit 2666 kit and overclock it, but that's something I enjoy, I know a lot do not enjoy overclocking.

      • I actually have a G.Skill 2666 from a techfast build which doesn't even have heat sink and I am running it at 3200 16-18-18-41 pretty stable.

        • Same kit. If you're interested I have these stable timings at 1.356V for 3333. It's Samsung C-die even though Thaiphoon claims B-die.

Just had an order cancelled from another shop for this same ram. Ran out of stock. Thanks Op!

  • Under the "Specification" section it lists as 2133mhz, i think this is likely an erroneous listing and you'll receive the 2133mhz

    • Good pickup.. it's listed as SPD 2133. Manual changes would be needed in bios to run at 3200

  • Have this exact same RAM running on a Ryzen 5 3600 and no issues running it at the XMP profile on a QVL B450 board. Tried to get some tighter timings out of it but didn't have much luck but I also didn't try very hard.

    XMP Profile is 1600 MHz / 16-18-18-38-56 / 1.35 V

Thaiphoon says it is Samsung C-die

  • Damn I hesitated pulling the trigger and now it's up to $119 + shipping.

    Still worth it?

Corsair Vengeance also on sale for $122.

    Purchase experience:

Ordered this memory although I wasn't sure about Shopping Express.
Wanted to leave my experience here for the record.

Ordered memory on Wed 3rd (10pm).
    Shipped out Thu 4th.
Arrived Fr 5th (I live Sydney Inner West)

Memory is as described (have not built the PC yet though.. will be a 3300X budget build).

Take it for what it's worth. So far, must say, would order from them again.
