    Price in title please.

I wonder how this compares to the $500 Deebo models.

I cant speak for the S5 Max, but i had a Roborock S5 gen 2 and sold it and bought the Deebot 920. The Deebot build quality feels a lot better, and it also works way better for me.

In the Deebot i have the whole house mapped, each room divided and labelled. It runs each night on a schedule cleaning different room combinations each night, like the hallway every second day but the kitchen daily. I also have the Alexa skill so i can start, stop, pause, return it to the dock or clean an area by voice.

As for mopping, i cant comment much both bots are too streaky for my liking so i dont use that feature with the polished red cedar floors i have only a steam mop works on them.

But the mapping and cleaning of the Deebot has been faultless.

      • Thanks for that, pretty good feedback right there.
Now I wish I'd jumped on the Aldi sale. Might wait for a Deebot deal.

the Aldi Deebot was the Ozmo 900, not the Ozmo 920. So only 1 map (allows area/custom cleans though), and auto clean (schedule jobs). Still, a great product for $399!

Seems like an okay deal at the moment. But it has been much cheaper in the past.

  • How is this compared to 360 S7?

  • What's the difference between this and the AU version that retails for $999?

    • +2

      One retails for $999

      This one doesn't say "mate"

    • -2

The power plug, probably. And possibly local warranty.

This is a very good price for the Max version.

i have the international version. The map doesnt work for me. Ive tried changing to all different regions, even contacted Xiaomi. no luck

      • Thanks for your comment. Was about to pull the trigger until I saw this

Do you still recommend it without the mapping?

        • +1

not really. id love to be able to setup zones etc which i cant do. So every time it goes off its a full house vacuum.

      • +2

Just in case you hadn't seen the post below, and apologies if you'd already tried, but a user below reported better luck with the Roborock app rather the Xiaomi one.

How would warranty work with this international version?

    • keen to know this too

  • For AU Market only so i assme it works here.. i have bought other international models and they both work with the app

    • +3

Do you have issues with the map and zones as per the comment above (@swxfty)?
I know with other Xiaomi products there can be issues related to the zone you choose for app setup.

      • +2

I would like to know this too please

      • Was about to buy until this comment. The S6 MaxV is being released on 08/06 so I wonder if prices will continue dropping.

I bought the international version of s5 max about five months ago. You won't realise what you missed out on until you buy it and use it for a while. It's a class apart in terms of functions and features and I can't imagine life without it. It's part of family now and we call it Robbie. My house is 60% tiles and other 40% is low pile carpet with few shaggy rugs thrown in. Mopping function works well and I can set up no go zones to stop Robbie from going into carpeted areas. Bear in mind this is maintenance mopping which gets carried out every few days in tandem with steam mop once a month. Also I have multi room setup where I have divided the whole house into 3 zones within the app to control which rooms I need vacuumed first. Saying that, it's a bit of a learning curve and playing around with the app to get where I wanted to be. Zero issues till now and we love it. It's seriously smart and my place is kept shiny clean while I enjoy the finer things in life.

    • Do you have issues with the map and zones as per the comment above?

      • +1

No issues for me, everything works the way it's supposed to. I am using the roborock app, not xiaomi.

    • Did you purchase it from this site? Just wondering how long it'd take to ship and how warranty would work. Thanks.

      • +1

I bought it for around $600 from tecobuy.com in January.
Since they are Hong Kong based I don't expect xiaomi/roborock to honour the warranty in Aus. They do offer their in house 12 months warranty, but then again its a risk if something goes wrong, same with these guys as well. Luckily no issues for us. Shipping was surprisingly fast, got it within a week.

  • Also I had 2 firmware updates happen since owning it, so rest assured it will be updated via the roborock app.

  • 404 Page not Found on that link and now no Xiaomi Roborock vacs in product list.
    Anyone else find the same?
Strange because I bought one yesterday but wisely used PayPal.

  • yep they have removed the link - maybe i got lucky

  • I purchased yesterday but never recieved an email confirmation of the order, anyone who made a purchase have you recieved a confirmation email?

    • Scrub that, just got the Item has Shipped email with tracking number!

  • Mine arrived. Shipped from Hong Kong. Had an AU plug adapter, but it's just a 2pin IEC-C7 Power Cable of which I have loads of spares.

This thing is freaking amazing. Makes the old Smasung Navibot it is replacing look like a complete joke - outclasses it in every way.
Haven't used the mop bit yet, but…. vac strength, adjusting to carpet, going over obstacles and around chairs, mapping, pattern it cleans in, not spilling the dogs water bowl, going under wall hung toilets and vanities, and just outright great job of actually cleaning the floors - this thing is awesome.

I'm using the roborock app. Map is good. No problems found so far, but waiting on recharge before I can play more.
