[PS4] FIFA 20 $13.95 @ PlayStation Store

1230

Noticed this while browsing the Playstation store. $99.95 down to $13.95. Possibly to match a similar deal we saw for PES last week?

Probably can't go wrong at that price for the newest FIFA, although you can get the older ones on eBay for as low as $6.

  • $30 around other places.
    Great saving. Thanks ahoyoid!

    way way 2 much

  • Torn between doing this or going for the EA Access for $40 year as this and a few others I'd like to try are in there: https://www.ea.com/ea-access/games#playstation-4-only
Anyone had experience with EA Access on PS4?

    • Ive never heard of it before. Now Im torn. Would you be even more torn if EA Access was $30/year (or is that USD)?
Has there been that much change in gampeplay in the last3-4 years, or is it mostly changing rosters?

    • +2

I have it, but hardly use any of the offering. Was playing Fifa 20 on it, but now have PES 2020 which I am enjoying more.

      • +1

This! I downloaded PES last week for $13. Feels weird to enjoy a football game again after the last few FIFA games.

    • +1

Replying to you as I've had experience with EA Access. I found it pretty good to be honest, I tried a couple titles I didn't think I would. Very satisfied with my experience.

    • +1

I have EA Access as well and must say i find good value in being able to play a wide range of titles for ~$40 AUD a year.

I'm pretty sure there have been EA Access deals on here as well which reduce the annual fees further.

  • +2

So do i want Fifa 20 for $14 or PES 20 for $8….tough decision!!!

    • +4

PES, I have both and have always been a FIFA fan but the game play is far better on PES. Easy enough to get real teams etc too.

      • -1

is it easier to score goals?

        • +3

Why would that be a deciding factor? Surely a tense and exciting nill all draw is better than a 13-0 scoreline?

        • I wouldn't say it's easier or harder to score goals? Easier to score off crosses though.

      • Really enjoy PES as well.

Downloaded the names and teams and it worked. Does that mean I need to turn off online teams? Can I still play online?

I think I turned some online update regarding their Form on and it went back to weird names?

        • +1

I haven't and it hasn't seem it negatively effect anything? When playing online with friends I see the modified teams, and they unmodified on their end. I did delete edited saves before importing everything however.

          • @Sunproof: Thanks. Will have another look. Started with PES long time ago but have moved to Fifa… Like so many.

From my Fifa 20 experience though… Fifa 21 might be the first one in a long time I'm not gonna buy…

            • @Nils: No worries. Yeah, I'm with you there. As a long time fan of manager mode its a kick in the teeth to have no additions yr to yr.

    • +2

I have bought the last few fifas and not minded it to play online. I found fifa 20 terrible and gave up. Bought PES 20 last week and find the gameplay much more enjoyable.
Just my 2 cents. For $8 I would give it a go

    • +2

Looking for the word, not sure if it's herding bias, but go with what your friends have tbh. These games are way more fun if you have friends who know how to play as well.

Fifa20 is a good game, as long as you are not worried about online competitive. Fifa20 beats PES in-game modes, skill moves and celebrations. Fifa has more realistic visuals, whereas PES has more realistic gameplay.

IMO Fifa 20 is much better as its more interactive, with better QoL.

  • +4

PES is way better game play. Just need to download the skins externally.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU… I was waiting for this deal…

although i only have an xbox, this is a great deal! must resist, otherwise i will have a solid reason to buy a ps4.

    • Just get EA access… Fifa 20 and a load of games are included. Although it will be around $40 AUD a year. I picked up my last Xbox Sub for EA Access for ~$25AUD.

      • How did you get 1 year subscription for $25?

        • cdkeys.com actually had a sale. I picked up an Xbox One and PS4 one for ~$25 each.

          • @DKZ370: What system runs it better?

            • @Twisty: If you've got both systems, just buy an EA Access month for $5 on each system to try them out. FIFA 20 will be dead in 2 months anyway.

            • @Twisty: If base machines PS4 > XBOX. If XBOX One X then get that one.

              • @boxall: Yer it’s ps4 pro and Xbox one x

  • Great price

  • I still haven’t opened fifa19 from one of the $9 deals last year

  • +1

I got FIFA 18 in steelbook for $9.98 last week thought I was doing good lol

  • +2

PES is much better, even at this price.

  • +1

I picked up FIFA20 a few week ago when it was on sale for the special editions, and I've actually been really enjoying it. If you've played previous years then you kinda know what to expect but there's a heap to do in-game if you really wanna dig into it, or if you just wanna play a couple of scrap games with some mates, it's good for that too.

  • Can't buy it even if I wanted to. EA Access makes it look like it has already been purchased.

  • +1

wish there will be a sale for xbox version soon

    • Me too

    • Me too;)

Has anyone tried to do a price protection claim on a digital version of a physical item? I'd logically assume the answer is no but was wondering if others had luck with it.

I pre-ordered it last year from Amazon with the full intention to claim ~80% back a year later since the value of FIFAs easily drop to $20 and below right before the next one comes out. Amazon currently have it for $25 so worst-case scenario can claim to that point instead. Just surprised to see it this cheap when there's still almost 4 months till the next game.

A very good deal. Been playing FIFA every year since 05 and jumped on the PES deal last week. Its not bad for $8, better commentary and gameplay feels better as it is slower. The menus totally suck and some player faces aren’t the best. It’s been refreshing as I have to learn the gameplay. The only thing Fifa has over PES is licensing, online and menus. If you want a football simulation go for PES. If you want an arcade type of game go for FIFA. Both games are good but not without faults.

    • Option files are out there for most of the big leagues to get all the team names and kits in. Some of the faces still suck and most teams don't have grounds, but makes it a lot better.

  • I bought FIFA20 (PS4) during Christmas season sales in Dec 2019 for $37 at Big W.
This is a very good price to buy.

The game has issues installing. For those having this problem, apparently delete, redownload and play without update file, then install update file.

  • FIFA 20 has VOLTA which is FIFA Street. VOLTA was the selling point of the year but it is overhyped.

    • Was this in Fifa 19?

    Come on, was expecting $5
