    • Can you recharge that stuff?

      • You mean by throwing it in the oven like normal silica gel? I'm curious, too.

yep, you recharge by going to woolies every 3-6 months and giving them $6

Then it's not the same thing is it? It's like comparing rechargeable batteries to non-rechargeable.

I'd rather pay for something once, even if it's more expensive.

        • agree, and never said it was the same thing. my first word was 'alternatively'.

  • Is this a bargain? Or normal price?
I find throwing a few sticks of sodium in also keeps things dry.

  • Is this useful for ppl in NSW?

I kept my old film gears for ages in my cabinet under the staircase and so far not a single fungus on the lens.
And I now keep all my dslr gears in Pelican cases and so far it is all good.

Would love to get input from other ppl in NSW.

    • Is this useful for ppl in NSW?

No, it only works in Labor states… :S

    • Our air is the same as any other state…

However if you keep your gear in a sealed pelican case without adequate silica, your just putting it in a fungus box. Take it out, or put some silica in.

  • Does not appear to be a bargain. Eg. 100 x 10gm sachets $54 + $4.95 shipping = $58.95. 2 x eBay auction 220850659318 = approx $32.
