How do these compare to the Arlo for night vision because the Arlo night vision is pretty shite.

    • I think that's arlo 2 specifically. Not sure about 3 and ultra but assume they improved it

  • Does solar enable any features or does it just top up the battery?

Eg: I imagine it charges too slow for always on recording (understandable.. But I can dream)

    • Just top up the battery
Been using this for a year now so far never battery running out
pretty like this ip camera that has wide angle that can shoot a much wider footage
however, as it is battery powered it does not support 24x7 live recording

I’ve had this and the Arlo Pro 2. Both been fine for night vision. This is a pretty sharp price with the solar panel. And do get it; mines stayed on 100% since I installed.

I rate Reolink; support has been good and it integrates with Google well. The only thing that sucks with these guys is it’s 1 camera free for the cloud, should be minimum 2 but eh. Arlo Pro 2 gives you 4 or 6.

    • You can just stick some SD cards in there and never rely on cloud storage.

      • How does the recording work? Does it record when it sense movement, and if so, for how long?

How many hours can 64GB SD card take (I read that Argus 2 can only take up to 64GB SD card? What happens when the card is full?

There's been a lot of complaints with Arlo, seems like they are ditching support and video quality of the older Arlo Pro and Arlo pro2 cameras to force users to their cloud based newer models. Support for these older cameras is almost non existent…..

    • How do you find the recording/triggering? I see a lot of comments about it being delayed and the person almost being out of frame by the time it records…which is a deal breaker to me.

      • I set my sensitivity on highest setting which records on time.

    • Wait, so Argus 3 is basically battery powered Lumus?

BTW you can get this combo via AliExpress atm for $146 😅.
That’s before any discount codes or cashback.

    • AU stock?
Update, yes $146.38. There is a potential 5% cashback but shipping takes longer than Amazon

      • Ship from Sydney warehouse? Assume it’d be similar timings.

    • I can seee it for $133 on Aliexpress. Cheaper if bought from there?

      • plus tax. Only cheaper from a different seller when posted from China

      • Aliexpress link? :)

  • OP, Any other deals?

  • Is this the lowest price ever? Would pull the trigger if so.

Quite often around this price on ebay, the "buy 2, get 5% off etc" makes them cheaper again. Lowest price when there's a 10% off deal.

There was a deal about 6 months ago for 2x Argus 2 w/o solar panel for $200 shipped. The panel can be bought separately on amazon for $40. That’s what I did.

      • Was this on Amazon, eBay or elsewhere?

        • Cameras were direct from Reolink and the solar panel I bought from Amazon. Cameras last about a month by battery. I bought one for the camera that is mounted high and didn’t bother for the one that’s mounted in arms reach.

  • Any deal on 1 or 2 of the Argus 2 cameras without solar panel?

    • +1

      $128 on eBay.

      • ebay link?

        • Ask and you shall receive
The more you buy, the cheaper they get.
