Feel free to make this a separate listing so we can have 5 in less than an hour.

But will it make me toast

    • +1

maybe, go in-store and ask the Hub and see what happens

if you go to Bunnings and they have not downed the price , Price match with 10% $89.1

    • Have you checked Bunnings website yet?

      • yeah just seen it :( dam

  • For Google 1 subscribers, is Google still doing the 3% store credit as well?

    • Sorry I'm not familiar with Google 1 subscription. Haven't heard about it.

        • +6

I'm sorry I haven't imagined what it would be like if I didn't have the answer to everyone's question, so I can't comment.

I got 10% store credit wtih google one

      • Got the 10% store credit as well …nice

    • It depends on your level of membership. Can get upto 10%, but it is still very expensive in general. I turned it off.

So I've got a couple nest mini, thanks to the 'free' promo a while back. They're pretty fun.

What does everyone here use this for? I've had a bit of a Bing around and got some answers, but not really $99 worth of answers

Picture frame and home automation control..but mainly picture frame. Suddenly all the photos you've taken but forgotten about get viewed again.

hope you didn't take any dick pic or stuff you don't want seen
        showing up unexpectedly

        • Curated album…but thanks for the concern.

      Try Google instead of Bing.

        @mooturner That's the joke

@randombob ta,I had a feeling that was the main thing.

    Thanks. Just ordered the aqua

  • Are the Nest Hub and Home Hub the same thing? Or different?

    • I can't find much reviews how much different they are. Maybe you could email Google and ask them.

    • +3

Same same, just a rebrand to the nest ecosystem

    • Just a name change, its the same thing

  • +1

can you use google play credit to buy this?

  • Why don't google just make it $98? Make more money selling direct to consumer instead through retail.

  • Hi, Can I use this to monitor my baby?

    • +2

Nest hub doesn't have a cam. Max does.

    • Yes but you'll need a compatible camera at the other end ( in the baby's room).

  • Anyone got Arlo feeding into a Nest Hub working effectively? Ideally, when the camera is set off it will show it on the Hub, but reviews seem to indicate it doesn't work great!

    Cheers

    • +1

Had an arlo baby camera working on the nest hub, but only when initiated via voice/screen, nothing triggered automatically via movement etc.
I'm not sure if this is possibly currently without a 3rd party casting system to do the legwork, think homebridge stuff.

These things are super fun, I was lucky enough to win one a couple months ago and it lives in the kitchen. Best thing is the shopping list ability haha just have to yell out 'hey google add such and such to the shopping list' and bam. Music quality is pretty awesome too, gets pretty loud. Great when cooking dinner or doing dishes :)

Got a house filled with these/lenovo and had most of the other brand's over the years.
      Things that get used/appreciated.

      • Photos - Wife and Child approve
      • Shopping list - Wife sometimes uses, but regularly complains
      • Video news - While Making breakfast.
      • Video camera's - glorified baby monitor.
      • Bedside clock - Can dim to remarkably low light with some tweaking, moreso than the Lenovo clock
      • White noise - recently been using this as a white noise machine as aircon is off

Larger one with the Nest camera is a slight dissapointment as no IR for night camera, response of camera on app is slower than other brands.
Gesture controll of the larger one is fairly handy…

Bottom line, is pick them up for a deal and you won't be dissapointed, assuming you live in the 21st century and not a hole in the ground.
